The familiar hums from the generators in the power plant were, perhaps, the only thing about technology that she’d ever truly be comfortable with. Except for perhaps the other parts of the power plant, including the robot that worked here. This was a place that she had called home for a short while, before forcing herself to live with the truth of her situation.
Of course, she couldn’t help but visit, at least to see him again; the robot she called a friend. He was, perhaps, the only thing that she liked about the universe’s connection with technology.
The moment she saw him, she went corporeal, pulling him into a much-needed embrace, and held for as long as the other would allow.
