When you see a post saying hey, here's my new CC/Mod etc and there's just a download button so you click it and oh yeah btw there's no release date and no warning that it's locked behind a paywall before you hit download, enjoy! I fucking hate it here. Fuck people who do this. If it's not publicly available then warn us before we go hit download and think it's available to us! This might be. A little controversial? I don’t know-

But (and this is essentially the tl;dr) people should coin more chronosian sub-terms or get over their problems with the word transage, because people are being put in a really uncomfortable spot right now

I understand being uncomfortable with the term transage because of the creator or even the etymology of the term, I really do, but the fact of the matter is, transage is the term with the most specific, helpful subterms for people- chronosian is VERY NEW, and there’s very few subterms for it

The issue here arises in the fact that the creator of chronosian wants (rightfully so) for people to not associate it with transage, which means not using the term chronosian with transage subterms- so people that identify with these subterms have about three options:

1. Identify with transage and the subterms and be alienated from the community by people who are just uncomfortable with the word transage (because you can’t really be uncomfortable with the concept but also support chronosian too, since it’s the exact same concept)

2. Identify with chronosian and have little to no actual specific words for their experience (which is where I’m at atm, and it’s not a good feeling)

3. Pretend they don’t experience this at all and don’t identify with either term- I hope we all understand why this is a really uncool option for people to be forced into

Simblr Community Challenge by the very very awesome @amelettes

I feel as if everyone has their own story about why they got involved with the Simblr community and I’ve always been curious about that so I decided to throw this together because I feel like it’d be a great way for people to get to know one another and maybe find new blogs they’d like to follow and support <3

Rules - Tag some people, and let the community bonding commence! How long have you been playing the Sims -

Since the first game! And I do mean the very 1st one. Since the sims 1 came out, I discovered it through my dad actually. He’s the one who got me into gaming and I love him for it!

How long have you been a Simblr, and why did you become one -

Oh jeeze well technically this is my second attempt at being one. But uh technically I started this one on 14th of August 2019! So a while so far.

As for why, hmmm, I just wanted to share my sims with the world I guess! Or well anyone who comes along and finds my little corner of said world that is. I just love photography irl, finding a subject, choosing the right angle, sometimes finding the right filter or making the changes to make the pic look how I want, so that transferred over into my simming as well.

Taking photos of my sims is my fav thing to do and it’s sucky not to be able to share them with other people, so I wanted to do that. So here I am! XD I also originally wanted to do sims stories too, but I haven’t quite gotten around to doing that. And that seems sad or silly to do by myself so again I’m here!

What type of Simblr are you -

Uh... I WANTED to be a storyteller as I say, but currently I’m not so, idk. I don’t really play sims much currently either so what do I call that? I’m a photographer I guess. idk, I really don’t. I’m just a pic taker.

Which generation of Sims do you primarily play -

Sims 4! I haven’t touched any other sims game since 4 came out. And look I know we all have our issues with the game and the contents and the style even, but I’ve truly grown to love this game. I cannot deal with the base skin or eyes, but otherwise, Sims 4 all the way! I love it and I have fun using the sliders and things to make sims faces. I don’t think I could make a sims 3 sim to save my life anymore. Those sliders make things so much better and more fun! XD
