Welcome! As you’ve probably guessed, it’s that time of year again!
It’s WINTER EVENT TIME!
This year we have expanded our hosts to @korihyo-winter-festival (Maple) @newyearsfoxfestival (Vega) and myself @korihyo-fox-festival (Blue)! Now without any further wait, here are the details~
The festival will be held within shrine grounds! Hansha Shrines (maple), Hizachi Shrine (Vega) and Mirai Shrine (mine) are all available for visiting, however there are a few rules you must accommodate to. First off I’ll take about common ground.
Bellow is the town Korihyo that rests at the base of these three shrines, here you are free to enjoy many activities you commonly would during this holiday season.
Ice skating, snowball fights, snowman building, sledding, gather by the bonfire to keep warm, and much more! Let loose and enjoy the snow just make sure you dress warm~ inside the large building you’ll enter a magnificent ball room where a masquerade ball is being held, along with a lounge to relax in.
While in the ball room you are required to wear a formal outfit and mask. There is music for dancing and tables of treats. If you tire and need a rest, head upstairs to the lounge and sleeping quarters! We have the heat cranked up so you can defrost.
When you’re ready to visit the shrines, head to the path with the red Torii gates and you’ll find a stall selling fox masks.
To continue onwards, you will need to be wearing one of these masks, or one of your own that you’ve brought. Spirit, the one selling the masks, can be found on Maple’s @korihyo-winter-festival blog. You have the option to either buy a mask, or exchange it for the mask you wear at the ball. But do be warned, if you trade it in, you may not get it back!
If you are a fox yourself, you are not required to wear a mask. If you are not a fox, then you must do so.
The path to the left will lead you to Hansha Shrine!
This is one of the smaller shrines which sends prayers to Articuno for Repentance and forgiveness. There are a few game and food stalls to enjoy!
Very similar to the Hansha Shrine, the far right path leads to Mirai Shrine.
This shrine prays to Moltres for Guidance. Amongst the stalls of food and games you’ll find one that a fortune teller who, for a price, will tell you what they see.
And finally, the center path leads you to the great Hizachi shrine!
This large, magnificent shrine, honors Tsutsuki, the fox god. Prayers of prosperity and success can be heard here. As you can see it’s much larger and has plenty of room to gather! Here there is a wider variety of stalls; food, games, wares, you name it!
