How to make me love a Pokemon
Honestly, those Pokemon who have a strong sense of righteousness / responsibility, can easily appealed to me, like Sir Aaron’s Lucario from the movie: Lucario & the Mystery of Mew & Greninja/Ash Greninja. These two Pokemon give me the same sense of personality, that’s why I love them on my end.
Another way to make me love a Pokemon is they having a strong bond / bond with Ash... I mean, how can I not love them? I just love any Pokemon that have a strong bond with Ash. It became a natural appeal to me. Afterwall, Ash is my favourite character in this series.
So here are the Pokemon, I want to do a dedication post on in which I see them holding a special bond/love for Ash <3 (not in ranking order by the way)
Ash & Pikachu - It will always come back to these two, because Ash & Pikachu holds the strongest bond in this series, afterall, Pikachu have been with Ash through the very beginning of this series, and I just love seeing how their bond grow stronger with each journey they travel together <3
Ash & Froakie-Frogadier-Greninja-Ash-Greninja - I felt like aside from Pikachu, Greninja and Ash-Greninja have one of the best bond in Pokemon anime, like Froakie was the very first Kalos Pokemon Ash caught, and he was the one who chose Ash on his end at the beginning, and they’ve been through countless trials, and obstacles, to be able to achieve that bond together, I really love the whole Ash-Greninja arc and I love this Pokemon very much, he is a serious Pokemon that cared deeply for his trainer (Ash) and he hold a sense of righteousness/responsibility that I love. He is actually one of Ash strongest Pokemon, and the most rarest... I hope he’ll come back one day just like Charizard did for Ash...
Ash & Charizard - Although Charizard was disobedient at the beginning, and I have to say, those were some painful episodes to watched, and Charmander evoloving into Charmeleon, where his personality went into a 180degree change, it had practically scarred me for life, like everytime Ash Pokemon evolve, I’m skeptical lol, but well, I guess Charmander is the only one, sad, really since I really love Charmander on my end, I don’t particularly like Charmeleon, but I do love Charizard, after he has accepted Ash, it became one of Ash’s strongest/reliable Pokemon. They have a strong bond as said by N (in Unova), but he doesn’t need to say it, we can tell, Charizard using ‘flamethrower’ on Ash is a sign of his love for him (lol)
Ash & Chikorita / Bayleef - You don’t say, this Pokemon is practically ‘in love’ with Ash (lol), but hey, I’m not complaining, I love Chikorita/Bayleef love for Ash, it’s nice <3
Ash & Chimchar - Monferno - Infernape - Considering how horribly Chimchar was treated by Paul, I actually love how Ash took Chimchar in when Paul released it, because it opened up a new door / light for Chimchar, away from Paul’s training methods, and allowed Chimchar to experienced the ‘love’ in which is the key to help Chimchar get stronger and mastered Blaze. Paul wasn’t able to get Chimchar to use Blaze, but Ash could, because this all comes down to how both trainers treated this Pokemon, to Ash, he doesn’t care if Chimchar can use Blaze or not, and that’s why I love Ash on my end. This is also why I love Ash & Chimchar story because it’s actually one of the best, I love seeing Chimchar happy, smile and open up. He really deserves to be happy, after all that he’s been through, you know. It’s also through watching the anime that made me love/appreciate Chimchar on my end <3
Ash & Noibat - Noibat!!! This super adorable Pokemon!! (my precious bat!!!) I absolutely adore this Pokemon ever since he hatched from his egg, I also love it how, despite the others try to calm Noibat down, he still cried (cuz, it’s only natural seeing he is still a newborn baby ;) ) I love that when Ash pet Noibat on the head, and said ‘there, there’, Noibat immediately stopped crying, it’s so adorable. It’s also super cute, I love how Noibat sees Ash like a parent-figure, I think it’s kinda cool <3
Also, after evolving into Noiven, my love for this Pokemon didn’t change. I’m just glad Ash’s Noivern is different to Alexa Noivern (lol).
Ash & Larvitar - Probably the same reason (/similar reason) as to why I love Noibat, Larvitar started off being closed off his heart with Misty & Brock, and he’s only opened himself to Ash, and I don’t know, I just like that kind of theme on my end, it shows Ash is special. I personally wish Ash would have caught this Pokemon.
Ash & Latias - He doesn’t own this Pokemon, too bad, I mean even someone like Tobias have a Latios -.- But eitherway, although it isn’t one of Ash’s Pokemon but this Pokemon seem to be really fond of Ash (the same way Chikorita is, you know *cough* in that sense *cough xD:
Ash & Mewtwo - Pokemon the First Movie is the very first Pokemon Movie I watched, and I actually really love Mewtwo’s back-story, I feel sorry for that Pokemon on my end, and the reason I’m adding Mewtwo into this list is because, Mewtwo practically accepted/acknowledge Ash is different to “those trainers”, so that makes Ash special in his eyes, and they have their moments as well, and I love how Mewtwo changed his views on Ash. He probably already did when Ash jumped into the battle when Mewtwo was battling Mew and their powers collided, but Mewtwo remembering Ash, and saying that Ash is different(aka he’s special) to the ending to the second Movie, where Mewtwo said he will watch over them in the moonlight(that’s quite sad), it made me love this Pokemon even more. By the way, this is the only Mewtwo I’ll ever like, not any other Mewtwo that appears in the later movies... :/
Ash & Giratina - This Pokemon actually appears in two movies, and I actually love the connection for both movies, and the sequel to what happened. At the end of the first movie where Ash saved Giratina and later Giratina lets Ash ride on him to months later, after all this time, when Giritina was in rage against Dialga (in the second movie), when Ash stepped in to stop the match, and yelled out his name, just by hearing Ash’s voice, Giratina actually remembers Ash, HE . ACTUALLY . REMEMBERS . HIM!!!! So I just love the little details, and connection there, it has to mean something(!!)
Ash & Lucario - I made this theory a while back where I believe/headcanon Ash is Sir Aaron reincarnated, hence why there are so many coincidenses, where he shared the same aura as Sir Aaron, and him and Lucario, despite it’s their first meeting, they already seem rather close, and Ash choosing that costume, it almost felt like it called out to him (from his past-influence) or something, anyhow, Lucario in the Movie: “Lucario & the Mystery of Mew” is actually my favourite Movie, and the very first time I fell in love with this Pokemon. Like I said earlier, I love it when a Pokemon shows me a serious side, and where they carry a sense of righteousness/responsibility, that really appealed to me, and I really felt Greninja/Ash Greninja share the same ‘aura/persona’ as Sir Aaron’s Lucario. That’s why I love these two Pokemon so much. Even though it’s not one of Ash’s Pokemon, but I see a special bond between them on my end. Even though Lucario is able to reunite with Sir Aaron at the end, where they are happy together, but this movie really gives off a great story. When Lucario sees Ash and Pikachu bond (in this life-time/present time), it reminded him of him and Sir Aaron, that’s sweet <3
Ash & Rockruff - I’m not really a vivid watcher for Sun and Moon, since I’m on/off with this region (not a fan of Ash design though) but from what I have seen/know, I really love the bond between Ash & Rockruff, Rockruff kinda reminds me to how Noibat is when it comes to Ash, and I really love it <3
Ash & Litten - The anime made me love Litten more, but I already love Litten when the leaks were out and when they described this Pokemon’s personality to be serious etc, that really appealed to me. Litten also carry a sense of righteousness(maybe not to that extreme), but I do like it, and he is such a tsundere (lol). Like he doesn’t show his affection much but we know he cares <3
Ash & Rowlet - I don’t think I need to say anymore than the image on it’s own (lol), I really love Rowlet on my end, I just wish that this Pokemon doesn’t sleep so much (lol). But on the contrary, Rowlet being a carefree Pokemon does have it’s certain charm and it is adorable (in my eyes) <3
There’s some Pokemon I didn’t list here because I haven’t seen that region properly to make proper judgement like Hoenn, Unova etc, so I didn’t add those Pokemon in. Personally I felt that all of Ash Kalos & Sinnoh Pokemon team is quite close to Ash as well, but I didn’t add them in cuz it will be a long list, so I’ll just end it here. These are my favourite Poke-bond with Ash <3 And ofcourse seeing it makes me love these Pokemon even more! <3
P.S: Let’s not forget Rotom-Dex (lol), it has become an important member to Ash’s team!!! :D

I love how they both have mutual respect for each other, not one side looking down on the other, but mutual respect, I also love that Ash is practically the light that helped Alain see the joy of battling again, it makes him happy. And I also love how Alain said Ash saved him, it’s just so beautiful you know. So, that’s why I really love these two on my end, as well as I love them as my human/human brotp..
