Created way back in the mid-to-late 90's, "Mewthree and Frogglet's Pokémon Factory" was a place where those creative souls among the sizable Pokémon fan base could bring their ideas for new kinds of pokémon to be developed into full Pokédex entries and displayed before the world. The staff of the site has since gone through many changes, including a change in webmaster, but the principle remains the same: we serve as an outlet for fan innovations in pokémon. (Fan, I stress, as in none of the species we display may be found in any official games; you'd be surprised how many people have misunderstood this aspect over the years. We have no affiliation with Nintendo or Game Freak; it's doubtful they even know about us.)

In the past, the Pokémon Factory has branched out from our fan-made pokémon creation to other areas of typical pokémon fansite content, such as info on the games, anime or TCG. This was, in the long run, found to be a bad move for us and is not an area we intend to go into again. Our focus is on fan-made pokémon and will remain there.

Day 6: Your favourite animal + your favourite type - my horrible fat cat plus fire.

This is another reworking of two old pokémon from PF. Smoal wanted to feel like a happy warm cat, and the idea of the hearth as the heart of the home. I could have sworn that chinese lion-shaped braziers were a thing, but despite me apparently having dreamt it, i think it works.

Smoal The Hearth Pokémon Fire/Rock

Smoal are very lazy, and mostly like to sleep inside fireplaces. As they are constantly smouldering, humans would often invite them inside rather than trying to start a fire. However, Smoal that feel safe sometimes sleep on their backs - occasionally causing them to roll out of the hearth and set fire to the rug.

Brashizi The Fierce Guard Pokémon Fire/Steel

Brashizi fiercely defend their homes and families, with mothers being the most dangerous. Mountain temples would use them as guards, and a source of warmth high in the mountains. Hikers have learned that untamed Brashizi encountered in the mountains can be pacified with a meal of coal; their bodies appear to be hollow, judging by the noise as they swallow.

Move flavour: Iron Defense, Incinerate, Fire Fang, Inferno, Roar, Glare, Rage, Smog, Heavy Slam, Iron Head
