Inktober #16 : grungy

Grungy means dirty or something apparently? English is not my first language and im learning words :')

So here's grimer and muk

I used the wrong color for grimer aaaaah im screaming

The Koffing, Grimer and Trubbish lines all share a fun similarity. They're all based on pollution, though all represent a different type.

Koffing is air pollution, this is most obvious in its beta name being Ny and Weezing's being La, representing the polluted air of New York and Los Angeles

Grimer is polluted water. This is most obvious in its Emerald dex entry which states "Born from polluted sludge in the sea, Grimer's favorite food is anything filthy. They feed on wastewater pumped out from factories."

And Trubbish is of course city pollution. Literally being alive due to industrial waste and trash bags causing a "chemical reaction" according to some dex entries

Extra fun fact! Alolan Grimers are trash cleaners, doing their job by eating any trash they find. They're predators for Trubbish in Alola

At first, I wasn't so sure about it, but after imagining a Grimer wanting to choose me to be their partner, my heart just melted. What a loveable goopy baby!
