Cinnabar Island - Night and Day
Still poking away at this Ransei map.
I caved an ordered the Conquest art book off of ebay. It’s coming by end of January!
since I've been getting traction because of one, I decided to make a pokemon map today! I used FRLG tiles for this one, and Im happy with how it came out...
Cinnabar Mansion GYM
For this GYM challenge, I created maps using the original Cinnabar Mansion layout, but revamped it to make it even more spooky. The idea was that this building had been completely converted to serve a new purpose.
The bottom floor, which isn’t featured here, is used by Marci and her coworkers as an office of sorts. The top floor (also not shown) is the battle arena. The rest are a maze-like collection of twists and turns and false traps.
There are several ways to get to the top floor, and none of them are difficult, per se, but the easiest path through tends to involve making noise, which is always a great way to get someone’s attention.
Pallet City - AFTER DARK
It’s become quite a welcoming little coastal port! The GYM isn’t Indigo League sponsored, but it is free for trainers to go and have battles in if they’re looking for an arena.

SO I FOUND OUT ABOUT A POKEMON DS MAP EDITOR??? AND OFC I IMMEDIATELY DOWNLOADED THAT SHIT AND AFTER MESSING AROUND FOR AN HOUR WITHOUT WATCHING ANY TUTORIALS, I CAME UP WITH THIS!
I think it looks pretty good for a first attempt, all things considered! AND THE COOLEST PART is that I could us some OTHER tools to actually PUT THIS IN A ROM and be able to play it in an emulator??? WHICH IS REALLY NEAT
