Okay, so this is super long but I think it's worth it What if the end-all for Pokemon was middle-class access to endless study abroad options, starting as early as 5th grade. With privatized education, Pokemon could setup massive "gyms" all around the world. Students would take classes comparable to Gifted/AP pace and rigor, with the time management options and responsibilities of college. Students would have pokedex' filled with pertinent, current and historical events, a planner, scientific calculator, any school apps necessary, and of course, Pokemon. Pokemon can be caught anywhere on campus with realistic, geographical spawning and ledgendaries found near historical landmarks or points of interest. The company has already expressed how serious it is about connecting people and establishing friendships among children and adults alike with Pokemon GO®. That place would have to be run by like, 200 park rangers or counselors though for safety and what not. And it'd need Google self-driving cars as trolleys or something, otherwise record levels of vehicular homicide insue due to chasing after a deoxys or battling a charizard. I'm thinking, money can be gained in a multitude of educational ways, such as attending a crafts session or reading a book for younger students. Taking a quiz or writing a paper, maybe even internships, for older students. Money earned by students will be connected to a manageable bank account, with the ability for parents to deposit emergency funds. Having a diverse array of majors and vocations will allow students equal opportunity to pursue careers they love, from economics to politics, to culinary design or music. Students could travel to different regions as often as every semester and 2-day a week, room and board, food, and public transportation for families covered in tuition. Costs are minimized with multi-member families. Courses within the gyms are 100% transferrable and valid among any region. Students who graduate after beating the elite four(finals equivalent?), are offered well-paying jobs within the gym system, and have an advantage in the job market with a degree from the internationally accredited system. The future, man.

I had a thought

So we know Gyms are confirmed, where trainers can play against each other and level up against tougher and probably rarer Pokemon. Their always is a gym leader in any gym in the handheld games. Some people are speculating that the gyms will just be spots to level up and battle against better trainers, and they will be no gym leader each gym. (Which isn't that bad anyway) I think their will be an AR gym leader for each gym, and not just unofficial gym leaders (non canon ones) While I do think it’s really cool to hand out badges and be your own gym leader, I’m thinking the game will have canon ones too.

What if each gym had an AR gym leader! You already can find and catch Pokemon, so how about battling an AR gym leader? I don’t think it’d be too much harder to make considering what they’ve shown us in the trailer, and how the battles would probably play out in the first place. Imagine battling all the canon gym leaders, that’d be so cool!

But what if they made a gym leader for each gym. Each town or area would have at least one gym leader. This could easily attract fans and people passing through the places. Everyone would want to see the new leader(on their phone) or battle them, at least. Plus, since the gyms are kinda hard to find, they’ll get to explore the town as well. I think that would be really fun, because each area that plays the game gets their own canon leader (at least in the Mobile version, not the handheld) and while I think it’s cool that people are making themselves gym leaders, imagining obtaining badges that are important in the game as well. I bet they could have some kind of bonus or story element in the game.

Imagine how many gyms their would be though…
