Taiwan - a place which feels so familiar, almost like home. And so many people here have helped me in different ways. I feel so politically and psychologically enlightened when I watch certain Taiwanese shows. And their songs is always a source of comfort. One day, I wrote a letter to someone here. He is a wise person who gave me the best advice and encouragement. Without his sincere and bold reply, I might still be trapped in codependency. Thank you so much. South Korea, where my adventure begins. I remembered how excited I was when I bought my secondary history textbook and I finished reading it within days. There were 2 pages on the Korean War which caught my attention. It made me wondered for a long time how families live and survive after being separated by the war, how emotional would their reunion be... So here I am at the War Memorial of Korea, thinking about a movie called Taegukgi, which tells the story about 2 brothers separated by war. The elder one became crazy during his frantic search for his younger brother. And then I wondered why would people abandon their family in peacetime. Why did she go? Why did he go? Why did everyone go??? I look at the tour guide, who is speaking in Korean, waving his hand and (I guess) asking me to join them. I shake my head and hurriedly go away.
