thanks man, i’m trying. i was in a really low spot and admittedly that anon got to me. it didn’t help that i was pmed earlier by someone concerned about how rude some of roadhog’s answers are... but i figure, it’s my way of telling this story, and i don’t see hog as particularly sensitive to matters of manners. so yeah; my story, my way, nobody is forced to read.

Top 5 weird animals.

this is hard for me, because i don’t really think of animals as particularly weird, but here are my top 5 not-often-mentioned animals!

5. aye-aye (they’re so cute and that extra long finger is just neat)

4. kiwaidae (i want fashion like this)

3. gerenuk (long and elegant babs with tiny heads)

2. goblin shark (my absolute favourite sharks)

1. bigfin squid (i’m particularly fond of the deep sea giants that are only suspected to be the adults of the babies found nearer shore. these mysterious giants are without a doubt my favourite animal.)

Thank you!! I am near LA, a bit south of Disneyland. I can draft some bits just from measurements, like the hood, but mostly I’m working from a frankensteined version of McCall’s #5232, that I first started fitting to myself in (holy crap) 2006 (holy crap I’m old). My measurements are really wacky and difficult to fit but haven’t changed much in 20 or so years, so I’ve been practicing modifying patterns to fit me since high school (first prom dress in 1997, holy CRAP I’m old), since absolutely nothing fits me off the rack. 

I first started modifying and fitting that pattern to me for a holiday dress in 2006, and used it for holiday dresses again in 2007 and 2013 (none of which I have pictures of online, sadly). I used the same frankensteined pattern as a basis for my Hit Girl bodysuit, River Song dress, The Moment top and vest both, Misty Day underdress, and as the master pattern for my wardrobe overhaul a couple years back.

So it’s been quite the workhorse pattern over the last decade, lol. I definitely couldn’t draft it from scratch (and I’d challenge even experienced pattern drafters to be able to draft for me from measurements only, my body is way too weird), but modifying it little by little has meant that each project fits a little better than the last. So, I just whined to the Bae that a very personal account ID is my gamer ID right now, so I don’t want to share stuff on Tumblr, as I keep it private from my irl person, and he told me about how it wouldn’t be that hard to create a new account/gamer tag and essentially start over. This is appealing to me, but it would only be worth it if there was a chance I might ever get to play with any of ya’ll. 

So, would there be any interest/anyone who has Overwatch on the Xbox One who’d be interested? I know most of those who I’ve seen on my dash playing it are playing it on the PC, sooo yeah. Just getting a feel.
