What is poletry? It’s poetry on poles.

Yes, this site is all about posting poetry and other art on poles for the general public to read and interact with.

It’s a way to share your work with the world. 

It can be anonymous or signed.

It can be funny or serious. Or both. Or neither. It can be drawings or other art.

This site will showcase whatever work you choose to share.

Here is the only guide:

1. Write a poem. Or make word art. Or non-word-art. 2. Put it on a pole. You just made poletry. 3. Take a photo. 4. Submit the photo here at this Tumblr site or at [email protected]

5. Tag @mypoletry and #poletry on Twitter and visit https://twitter.com/mypoletry

6. We’ll post submissions if they fit our general guidelines: don’t be mean or offensive, don’t vandalize anything, use recycled or repurposed paper and materials for your poletry posting if you can, put it up in legal places, and manage your poletry (take it down when it gets torn and weathered).

7. Enjoy. Repeat.
