Lately, logging into EDEN had become a routine...and among Yu’s growing list of new routines was his tendency to immediately reach for the familiar white mask. It was just an object, but wearing it made him feel so strong and self-assured – sometimes he almost looked forward coming to this virtual world and putting it on. He paused, however, as his Gekomon tugged on his jacket. The frog-like Digimon fixed his human partner with a disapproving look.
“...You’re right. I don’t need this today.” After a second’s consideration, Yu stowed the mask away. He was just looking to spend a few hours here in one of Kowloon’s deserted corners with the company of his Digimon, after all.
This area was apparently not as deserted as he thought, however, as a small sound alerted him to the presence of another. Yu turned, his expression becoming wary. “Who’s there?”
