I'm not big on politics but I feel like Whether you vote for kamala or Trump doesn't realistically matter, both are bad in their own ways and will do damage if elected. America is fucked.

If i have missed something please say so in my ask box, I would love to hear others opinions!

hai i wanna add onto the kamala vs. harris election thing.

when it comes to a LOT of things, harris and trump really arent all that different.

i am 17 years old, and while i cant vote this election, i dont think i would anyway.

yes, i know trump is marginally worse than kamala, but if you really think about it; how many notable positive changes have been made to the US just from one person becoming president despite xyz candidate promising xyz thing(s)? not many.

there will still be a housing crisis, the homeless will be treated less than human, prices of literally EVERYTHING will continue to inflate until the only people who can afford literally anything are the upper class, minorities will have their rights taken from them, and literally so much more.

from what ive seen, the main concern of both presidential candidates concerns taxes. historically, a handful of presidential candidates have promised tax cuts and it just never happened. theres also this myth that tax cuts for the lower and middle classes will solve the economy; which isnt the case (late stage capitalism is the reason for our shitty economy...).

dont even get me started on project 2025 😭

if kamala wins the election, that wont stop project 2025 once and for all. that will only delay it. realistically speaking, the goal of project 2025 is to enforce and empower hard right conservative ideals in our government. so really, even if trump doesnt get into office for the next presidential term, project 2025 could start up for real if another conservative gets into office.

voting for the "lesser evil" shouldnt be what US citizens have to do to ensure we have the bare minimum of human rights.

the fact alone that that is the choice we're faced with is enough for me to not want to vote. i dont care that kamala is a woman, or that she isnt as old as trump. she really isnt all that much better than any of the presidential candidates we've had in. god idk forever ?? 😭

I believe that IF kamala Harris gets elected, there will be some changes, but not ones that could potentially make it easier for lower class individuals to access their needs and wants. If Trump gets elected I believe NOTHING will change for the better.

The government only benefits the middle age, white, cis males of America which shouldn't be the case at all! Everyone has the right to feel safe under their government and don't need to sell their arm and leg for groceries, bills or taxes.

Voting for Harris matters. Is she the perfect candidate? No. Absolutely not. But its either her or Trump and I like my rights, actually.

I agree, it might just be because I'm not American so I don't exactly know what it's like in America (if that makes sense?)

It really is a "take everything you can get" situation when it comes to elections, like I can agree that BOTH are shitty politics but it's also shitty how Americans can't have the freedom they're promised.

kamala is probably the “best of the worst” option,you don’t wanna end up with the orange dictator,, hopefully america will stop having to pick the best of the worst every election at some point

Same :( I honestly wish that the government wasn't so corrupt and had ACTUAL good presidents that ACTUALLY did was they say they would and wasn't a creep.

I also care for my American friends dearly and it makes me guilty seeing that they can't have actual freedom :(
