Hear me out: Epic DND AU. Not sure if this already exists but Athena, Ody, and the boys start a campaign together, Poseidon and Zeus play sometimes but aren’t as active as character. Tiresias DMs but his character does show up for one session ofc. Eurylochus was extremely annoyed at his character getting killed off but did laugh at the “well then maybe you shouldn’t have KILLED ONE OF THE SUN GOD’S COWS” jokes

After a while, Penelope, Telemachus, and Antinous start another DND campaign while Telemachus is on summer break. Polities DMs after his character died and he was so distraught he refused to make another. Both groups planned to merge their campaigns and Tiresias became co-DMs for the events of the last saga.

Athena joined Penelope’s group after she and Odysseus started arguing so much (not necessarily just about the game) that she was upset at him outside the game and quit the campaign

Odysseus and Telemachus are both warlocks with Athena as their patron. Tiresias was initially resistant to players having overpowered characters but was ganged up on

Antinous wouldn’t be as much an asshole as canon but I don’t want to change his entire personality so I do think he’d occasionally flirt with Penelope (more of as a joke though to annoy Odysseus… I think it would still be light enough to where Penelope was amused. Also because he’s younger than her (he was a senior when Telemachus was a freshman and the two met and became friends in college which is how they know each other) and she enjoys seeing how horrified Telemachus is when Antinous says her outfit looks good and she enjoys seeing her husband jealous

The characters would keep a lot of their canon personality traits (with their DND characters being 1-to-1 more or less) but still not be the same. Like I think a more unhinged Polities (especially after his character gets killed) would be pretty fun
