On October 7th 2006 this M5 drove from New York to LA in 31 hours 4 minutes with Alex Roy and David Maher at the helm. Last weekend I got to ride in the car with the man himself.

So I've recently picked up the book The Driver by Alex Roy. It's probably my favourite book. It's the only thing in recent memory that has really enthralled me. Everything else just seems like a chore in comparison. Maybe one day I'll get to meet him, or better yet, go Gumballing/Bullrunning myself.
