Wow, I really loved this movie about The Suicide Squad directed by the great James Gunn.

I'm very loved all the characters, especially my favorites Polka Dot Man and Ratcatcher 2.

The last one it's inspired by the alternate ending of The Suicide Squad movie where Ratcatcher 2 have died instead of Polka Dot Man, and in the end it was vice versa.

said i was gonna post my thoughts and then promptly forgot. whoops! anyway. have some polkarat

These all take place in an au where Abner lives, and after they're free to go, him and Cleo get put in the same apartment. Mostly to save money but also because he gives her structure so she doesn't slip back into a life of crime, and she keeps him from having a depression-induced mental breakdown. It's all just a big cost-vutting measure but it works out.

These both are supposed to be little fics whenever I can be bothered to write again btw.

The one where they decide to sleep together

-On a particularly cold night they decide to sleep in the same bed for warmth. It's a bit awkward at first but after a couple night they get used to it. It becomes a habit.

-After some time, Abner finds himself waking up to cuddling Cleo and he panics every time because that's weird, right? he can't be doing that. Turns out he can keep doing it because Cleo wakes up before him one day and is like "wow this is so comfy actually".

The one where theyre chilling on the couch

-So now that they both discover that cuddling is good, actually, they tend to do it a lot more. Including on the couch.

-Cleo likes the closeness (I feel like she's definitely a bit touch-starved) and Abner likes the pressure (get this boy a weighted blanket)

-Idk they're just vibing and Cleo is like "you have spots on your hands :o!" (referring to his vitiligo, because yes I think he can have it. as a treat) and Abner instinctively tries to get away because he's very desperate to not be too weird to his closest friend. But Cleo is very adamant that it looks neat and keeps holding his hand and tracing the patterns.

-They talk after that but Abner has trouble focusing because all his brainpower is going into ignoring how nice it feels that Cleo's just gently fiddling with his hand.
