Stepped out of my room into the bathroom to miserably crunch a dose of midnight Pepto tablets and Polo takes the opportunity (he's a door dasher but thankfully not to the true outdoors) to go straight to housemate B's room, hiding under his bed for 20 minutes. He is so so so afraid of B as a human man, but finds that area of the house irresistible for no reason I can discern. His absolute, literal single-mindedness is baffling.

sometimes I let Polo Explore the stairwell outside my apartment, which 99% of the time results in timidly sniffing the carpet ~6 inches from my doorway for 5 minutes and 1% of the time (this time) results in him running up to the third floor and YOWLING at my 78 year old neighbor's door. She does not have a cat, I can't understand this behavior.
