I was tagged in two different snippet games by @aroacebaggins and @gauntletgirlie so here's a snippet from my Dracula AU:
Celebrimbor ran his hand through his curls and Adar had the strange instinct to soothingly rub his back.
"One step at a time, Celebrimbor," said Adar, not missing the shiver that ran down the smith's back or the increase in his heart rate as he said his name. "That is the only way we'll defeat him."
Celebrimbor stood up straight and nodded. "You're right."
He met Adar's gaze, the pair unable to look away, and Celebrimbor's lips curved into adorable absentminded, dreamy smile of his. Oh, Adar was being ridiculous. One would think he had never met a handsome human before.
"You should come home with me."
"What?!"
Celebrimbor blinked and then his eyes widened to the size of saucers as he seemingly realized what he said.
"I mean um you should come home to me, with me! To my house!" he snapped, gesturing with finality. "You should come to my house. It'll be the safest place in London after we fortify it and you can help me research this mysterious metal of yours."
