Twelve to sixteen hours are the daily norm, and that's gotta stop.
Steve D’Amato is our first assistant director, who is in charge of running the set. He recalls, "The worst day I ever worked on a show was 27 hours. It was the very last day of the very last episode of the series. We shot for 24 hours and I was there two hours before and an hour after."
This article is amazing. And even in my limited experiences on both zero-budget and ultra-low-budget, I can confirm for anyone skeptical that this is 100% true. (for reference, the longest day I ever worked on a set was 22 hours)
