This is really funny. Also, looks like the stick stays as a permanent stage element, which is sick considering:

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IVE BEEN WANTING FROM SALMON RUN. The movement will be absolutley amazing with this. Lots of sick saves will be possible now, plus you wont have to risk losing if you want to deliver the egg when your team's dead.

Looks like theres a new special too, which mightve been in the other trailer too but now we can see more clearly that its definitley a stingray-type thing.

These fuckers fly now, which is deeeefinitley gonna be annoying. It adds some spice at least though, since shooting the same egg-stealing guys all the time got repetitive quick.

One last thing: this guy is like a mini version of splat zones, which is funny. Makes me wonder if theyll do more unique bosses like this.

In terms of lore, it seems like the salmonids are becoming more advanced, with the flights and such. This is also reflected in the equipment the inklings and octos are wearing, which is significantly more heavy duty. Seems like a bit of an arms race... I wouldnt be surprised if a war started between the cephalopods and salmonids.

did. did you guys really think salmon run wasnt gonna be in splat3???? team chaos won. salmon run is the most chaotic mode in splatoon. mamals are returning. bears are mammals. grizz is a bear. i feel like this shouldve been obvious

Ok so: Some thoughts about the splatoon 3 trailer.

Individual floating spawn points, probably made thanks to new octarian technology. They've clearly got all the same aspects of a normal spawn point, but now with movement capabilities and far more compact. Choosing the spot where you land after spawning is going to have a huge impact on gameplay overall. That begs the question though, how will players super jump directly from spawn? Will the spawn points become stationary once the match starts? Or will you just be able to choose a furthur difference to land from spawn later in the match, therefore negating the need to super jump immediately?

New main and sub weapons, which was a given of course. The bows look like theyll have some similar functionality to chargers, but it looks like they can lob ink shots like a bloblobber or explosher. Plus, they can shoot 3 at a time! This probably means each ink bullet (arrow?) does less damage on their own, but it definitely allows for more ink coverage.

I honestly have no clue what the crab bomb could be. The nozzle-looking thing on the front could function like a sprinkler, shooting small, low-powered bullets. Since it moves, it could probably also target players for a short period of time, which could make for some interesting defense strategies.

Now THIS. This special weapon seems to be some sort of inkzooka redux, which is super exciting!! It looked like it shot ink that was more like bullets rather than the pillars of the original inkzooka. Though I never actually played splat 1, I always thought the inkzooka was cool and always wanted to use it, so it's awesome that it's making a return!

Something I found super interesting was the new movement mechanics. It looks like they've turned sub-strafing into something that's built-in rather than just a niche trick. In the second image, it looks like they're jumping MUCH higher than you normally can, and from a wall no less! This could be a new mechanic involving slopes since that wall is sloped, or it could just be a new movement mechanic altogether.

Sorry for the long post, I'm just so excited for splat 3 and wanted to get my initial thoughts out there.
