Hi, just wanting to request a poly!20 squad x reader of the team seeing her tattoos for the first time? Like a spinal one or something and they only see it cause she has to dress up for an undercover or something? Please and thank you.

To say that you loved tattoos and different kinds of piercings would be a mild understatement. Your partners never knew but you had a tattoo on your back. Piercings weren't really allowed in SWAT, so you simply had to settle for getting a few tattoos on your body– one of which was a large spinal tattoo of a bunch of flowers aesthetically placed together.
The topic of tattoos never really came up around your partners so you never told them about your tattoo's especially since you'd usually wear T-shirts that would cover up your tattoo.
Until one day the squad was called to an op. Someone had to go undercover and gather intel. The decision on who should go, quickly fell on you. Getting changed into a tight and short red dress, you tried your best to zip it up, before giving up and texting Chris asking her to come to the locker room.
Upon entering Chris saw your tattoo– she looked shocked. "Since when did you have a tattoo?" Chris asked as she quickly helped zip up your dress. "Uh since I was about 20? I got it tattooed on my birthday." You smiled while turning to face her. "I didn't know you were a fan of tattoos." She grinned teasingly poking your side. "There's a lot you don't know about me Chrissy." You grinned in return while kissing her cheek.
"Oh just wait till the others see this–" Chris laughed gleefully. "Till we see what?" Hondo suddenly appeared in the doorway. "Our girl over here apparently has a spinal tattoo." Chris said with a massive smirk while Hondo raised an eyebrow. "A tattoo? Are we talking about the same person who screams at the sight of needles?" Hondo said amused while stepping closer. "Hey that's rude!" You protested while laughing.
Chris then dragged you out by your elbow, grinning from ear to ear as she led you back into the eagles nest. Ignoring your protests as she led you along. Upon seeing you in that dress, both Tan and Street let out whistles. Appreciatively looking you up and down.
"Our girl has a spinal tattoo!" Chris announced proudly to the rest of your partners. Deacon choked on his coffee as he heard those words. "She has a what?" Luca asked baffled while staring at you as if seeing you for the first time.
"Are we talking about the same person who screeches like a banshee upon seeing a needle?" Deacon asked while stepping closer, grinning from ear to ear.
Tan and Street immediately lept up from their seats, circling you like vultures to see your tattoo. "Well I'll be damned! It's real!" Street laughed while tracing one of the flowers with his finger, making you shiver slightly.
Turning around after glaring at Chris, you allowed your partners to gape at your tattoo. "Oh this is good– the legendary Y/n Y/l/n, who screeches at the sight of needles has a massive back tattoo! This is pure gold!" Luca laughed while also stepping closer to see your tattoo. "Are you all done?" You huffed while glaring at your partners over your shoulder. "Not even close." Tan piped up cheerfully, grinning at your annoyed expression.
"You do know that they'll never let this go right?" Hondo asked with a massive grin on his face. "Don't." You huffed while glaring at him. "Oh you brought this upon yourself sweet pea." Hondo grinned while pinching your cheek. "You all suck." You huffed as your partners laughed at your misery. "Awwww we love you too." Luca said teasingly while poking your cheek, ignoring your glares.

Street hates nights like this. The quiet ones, where all his partners seem so unbothered by the lack of noise, how they lay on the couch with the tv being the only buzz of anything. They don't get the same itch at the back of their neck like Street does.
It's to be expected when Street thinks about it. They did not grow up in the constant chaos of moving every month or so that Street did. He should rephrase a little, at the beginning he moved every month or so, but once he ran from that one particular foster house he ended up on his own.
Again, he should rephrase, him and Nate ended up on their own, homeless as some would put it. They'd sleep at motels and whatnot but mostly in old abandoned buildings, one warehouse in particular was Streets favorite, Nates too, they spent the most time there. Laying on the cold concrete flooring with a few blankets they snagged from stores when people weren't looking, textbooks and papers laid out in front of them as they tried to stay atop their schoolwork, Nates plethora of old cassettes stacked next to him, Streets bag of random tech to tinker with.
He misses that bag. And that floor, and Nate. He really misses Nate, who Street fought with before he joined swat, before he became part of this relationship, part of him wonders what’s happened for Nate since their fight. But Street doesn’t have to wonder about how Nate would feel this itch. He'd understand.
None of that matters right now, Street’s too busy pacing the kitchen of the house he shares with all his partners. Six of them in one house. Yet it's deafening to be in, the windows open help nothing, not even crickets chirping.
Street was a bit hesitant to move into this house in the first place, of course living with his partners would never be an issue, he was rather excited over that fact, it's just where this house is placed. A long outstretched driveway to give them as much privacy as possible, putting them far from the road, from the noise. Something Street craves deep in his bones, always has really, probably always will.
"Street?" Lucas voice takes him from his thoughts and pacing, he stops mid step; a habit formed back when Street was still living with Karen and Eddie, a way to distract himself of sorts.
"Would you stop pacing, you're stressing me out." The blonde laughs where he resides beside Chris but it still stings deep into Streets chest. He needs to do something, but, if Luca doesn't want them to pace....
"Hey baby, why don't you sit with us? Try to relax a bit?" Reluctantly Street sits beside Hondo, already ten times more uncomfortable, more need for movement and noise settling deeper into Streets bones. It feels like he's vibrating under his skin.
"Why do you look so stressed? What's wrong?" Hondos hand is heavy against Streets shoulder, it makes him squirm a bit, he doesn't want to be held down or stuck in one spot, he hates that feeling.
"It's just really quiet." It's unnerving that nobody else seems to feel the same way as they all furrow their brows to Street.
"We can turn the tv up for you." He subconsciously winces at the prompt, he doesn't like the tv that much, he got use to not watching one when him and Nate were sleeping around the streets.
"Not that type of noise." He needs something natural, real, not the staticky sound the tv produces while it plays some stupid baking show Luca likes.
"What other type of noise is there?" It's paired with a lighthearted chuckle, Street doesn't return it, he can't when he doesn't understand what's funny. There's plenty of other noises that aren't a tv being on? Even a video on his phone makes a different kind of sound.
"Like cars, or a train, or people on the streets, or dogs barking-." Good noise, he goes to say but stop, tv noise is obviously good to his partners so he won't ridicule that.
"So you can't relax because it's not loud enough?"
"Yes." It feels like this has been stated already in the conversation, though Street definitely understands the feeling of needing more clarification; he nods to Luca affirmatively.
"That doesn't make sense." Street furrows his brow slightly, it makes plenty sense.
"But it does." This could lead to an argument, he's keenly aware of this, it's not ideal but it's happened before, Tan says it's because Street has a 'one-track mind' whereas Luca jumps from topic to topic. He's not sure how true that is, Streets mind does jump around sometimes, he's just good at keeping on topic when speaking.
"No it doesn't, how can you need noise to relax? That like- defeats the purpose." Street turns to where Tan and Deacon sit, they're good at helping in these situations, Chris gets too involved of whichever side she agrees with and Hondo always says that his 'leader duties' end when shift does so he stays out of it.
"It's like listening to music to relax, you like the noise of it but you're still relaxed." Tan summarizes much better than Street would've, Victors always been good at that sort of thing Street supposes, he's a mediator of sorts.
"Whatever. We can't really make it more noisy here, sorry Street." He brings up a good point, Streets waiting on noise that won't come, he should just go somewhere he knows there'll be noise.
"Where are you going?" Hondo immediately stops Street with a gentle hand at his wrist, an action he’s become accustomed to and knows is meant with zero malicious intent, even if Street took it the wrong way at first.
"Somewhere louder." Long Beach seems like a far stretch when it's already hitting seven pm, there's a few good abandoned buildings in La, but he'll probably end up at the one by Bucks house he'd sneak off to when visiting the older man as a teenager.
"It's seven pm, the suns setting."
"Yes." The sky's turning that warm orange color it gets before sunset, Streets always liked how it looks, something so calming about watching the sky fade from color to color then finally a dark shade of navy.
"And you're just going to go wherever on your own?" He nods along even when Hondo huffs air through his nose, Street can't tell why, it is just nightfall? Street is trained to fight off whoever might try to mess with him, Hondo knows that, they all do.
"You're going to leave us here alone?" He goes to nod again but Tan motions his head, a tilt to it, trying to convey that nodding is not the correct answer.
"Would...you like to come?" It takes longer than it should for Street to come up with the question, he's usually better at reading into things more, not being so outwardly straightforward with his thinking. He's burnt out he thinks, that might be the word for it, too tired to really put energy into acting like everyone else.
"Yes, of course we do!" It is not 'of course' to Street, they never told him they'd want to come, Luca was just saying it was wrong, why would that be of course?
"Are you sure? You looked content here." It will be more difficult to get to the roof of the abandoned building with the six of them, they can call do it in no time flat, but it's still a lot of bodies to move. And they did look comfortable staying on the couch, as they normally do.
"We stay on the couch all the time, it'll be nice to change things up." Chris says brightly as she stands to go get her coat and shoes, the rest of the members following in her lead, it leaves Street to stand watching them.
He feels slightly nervous over this. He is technically breaking and entering, no matter how old or long the building has been abandoned; the team might be against something that is, well, in simple terms, illegal.
"It'll be okay, they can always go home if they want." Tan comes up to Streets side like he can read into his head.
"Right. Let's go."
-
The car ride is met with endless rambles between Luca and Chris, normal for the pair to do when driving, sat in the very back while Tan and Street occupy the front, Deacon and Hondo stuck in the middle row of the vans seating. Hondo usually drives with Deacon as his passenger, but Street is the only one that knew how to get there, and he wanted to be beside Tan.
"Where are we going?" They all pile out of the car in front of the abandoned building, it's shorter than Street remembers, but there's still all the noise he wants and the view from the roof is as breathtaking as ever.
"Up there." He climbs the chainlink fence easily, not bothering to look back aside from checking that Victors still beside him, which he is of course, moving in sync with Street.
Actually getting to the rooftop isn't hard. Street’s done it a million times, he knows the route of climbing up the brick wall like the back of his hand, placing his feet meticulously on the parts that stick out for leverage, making sure Tan is making it safely. It takes all of ten minutes for them to reach the edge of the roof.
"Do you think they're coming?" James doubts it, the rest of the team is still standing on the other side of the fence, all talking over each other, probably running through the pros and cons of following in Street and Tans lead.
"No. You can go back down with them if you don't like this." He offers but Victor shakes his head instantly, standing on the ledge before jumping to the center of the roof. It reminds Street of Nate, Tan is a lot like Nate at times, but especially right now.
"This is fun, beats sitting on the couch." Tan smiles over to Street as he makes his way to sit by Tans feet, he stands tall overlooking the town down below.
It's a pretty good view for downtown La. People move about, street lamps and store signs lighting up the roads, the sound of people chattering paired with traffic sounds bringing a ease to Streets chest. This is the noise he was looking for. It's familiar, soothing, let's him exhale deeply into the now turning night air, the humidity of the day hasn't died down enough for there to be a chill so it's still comfortable enough for Street to shrug his jacket off.
"I like it up here, you come here a lot?" Tan lays himself down next to Street once he flattens against the roof.
"Yes. A lot when I was younger, me and Nate would spend hours up here." Or buildings similar, anywhere with a roof and view really, all equally as calming.
"You've mentioned Nate before, he's your older brother right?" It's only ever been Victor that Streets shared any stories of Nate with, they almost all involve low grade illegal activities and while the others would never say anything outright, they'd silently judge it.
"Yes. I miss him." For some reason the words are quiet, Street didn't intend to whisper it, he hadn't even thought about his volume, he can't seem to place why he would be so quiet saying it. Of course he misses Nate, he's never doubted that, it's not a secret, yet the words are more of a breath than anything, if Tan wasn't so close he probably wouldn't be able to hear it.
"I'm sorry baby." Victor turns on his side, Street quickly mirrors him so they're facing.
"Yes, it is, is..." The word doesn't come out of his throat, it stays stuck like thick honey dripping from a spoon, unable to fully fall.
"Sad?" Tan fills in with curl of his lips, a contrite look in his eyes.
"Yes, sad." Something along the lines of pain twinges in Streets chest, grief maybe, but that seems absurd as Nate is not dead, nobody has shown up on Streets doorstep muttering those few nightmarish words saying his brother has passed, so Street has to assume Nate is okay.
"Nate would like tonight." Definitely. The cars whooshing by, the colorful lights around, the sky changing to a haze of purplish blue to signify nighttime, Nate would enjoy it all and probably talk nonstop about how gorgeous it all is.
"Do you like tonight?"
"Yes. I like laying up here with you, it's comfortable." He’s slept on enough floors throughout the years that the rooftop under them doesn't bother his back like it probably would Hondo or Chris.
"I like when you do that."
"Do what?" To Streets knowledge, tonight is like every other night aside from them coming here.
"When you talk without filtering yourself, you always seem more relaxed." Oh, Street knows his speech pattern can change depending on the situation or how much energy he has to 'mask' as some would say; but he never thought anyone had noticed it since he moved to La.
"You don't find it annoying?" A couple of people in Long Beach have commented about it bugging them that Street always talked so straightforward and choppy like.
"No, it's just you being you. I like it, feels natural."
"Thank you.” A warm smile comes to Streets face, he sighs contently before tipping his head til it meets the side of Tans, not fully laid against one another but touching. Just enough.
“Course baby.”
Victor doesn’t say anything after that. They both just lay there, listening to the cars and people, looking up as the sky switches from color to color before falling dark. Even then, neither move, they stay laying in the comfort of the night.
Hiii, I love your writing and your poly20squad works so so much, literally you open a new world in my mind… So I wanted to request a poly 20squad x reader, where the reader is part of the s.w.a.t. and for a new case they need to work with reader’s ex and reader’s partner are like really jealous because the ex is shows himself off because he wants reader back… I leave the rest to you ( it can be nsfw or not, your choice!)… I hope this make sense and do your changes to your magic ✨ … thank youuu <3!

Your partners weren't jealous people.
At least that's what they tried to tell themselves, when seeing you and your ex interacting. Your ex boyfriend was a FBI Agent, who was assigned to work the case with 20 Squad. They weren't happy to hear that, but they had no choice.
What made them the angriest was the way he still thought he still had a chance with you. He would brush up behind you, try to get you alone to 'talk'– they weren't stupid, they knew that he thought he still had a chance with you.
Chris was shooting daggers at your ex the entire time she was even close to him, he didn't notice as he was too busy trying to impress you. Street would try to never leave you alone with your ex, he was always hovering nearby, ready to step in at any moment.
Hondo would always assign you to go with someone from 20 Squad to check out a lead, completely ignoring your ex volunteering to go with you. Your ex was a stubborn man though and he never gave up.
Once you headed to the armory to grab some needed gear, your ex saw an opening and followed you, standing in the doorway and blocking your way out as he began to speak. "So after this is over, do you want to go out and grab drinks? Y'know as old friends." He winked at you, as you completely ignored him and instead focused on your gear. "No thanks." You said bluntly, as you avoided looking at you. "Why not? We were so good together." Your ex stepped closer, you simply raised an eyebrow as you stared at him. "I'm not interested, you broke up with me and I moved on."
"Oh c'mon Y/n don't be like that. They have you on such a short leash or what?" Your ex laughed mockingly as you glared at him. "I said no." You firmly replied, before adding. "And my relationship is none of your business." Grabbing all the needed gear you pushed past him to go find your partners.
You were practically boiling with rage at his words, how dare he come back into your life and try to ruin it again. The two of you ended on very bad terms right as you were assigned to 20 squad. Your new teammates were very supportive of you, always offering to help or explain something. Not like your ex who'd yell upon every small disagreement or mistake. When you first joined the team and missed a shot during a mission, Luca and Street spent an hour comforting you and cracking jokes to make you smile again.
That was the difference between your partners and your ex— while Tan would always give you his jacket when you were cold, your ex would berate you and say that it wasn't his fault you weren't dressed properly.
Those were one of the differences between him and your partners.
Hondo saw you walk out of the armory carrying a lot of heavy gear, while your ex boyfriend trailed after you like a lost puppy. Deacon also noticed and he immediately walked over to take some of the heavy gear out of your arms. "Here sweetheart, let me help." Deacon said while taking most of the gear out of your arms. "Thanks." You smiled at him brightly. Deacon shot a venomous glare at your ex as he helped carry all the gear to Black Betty.
After shift was over, you were all in the locker room changing out of your uniforms. Your ex suddenly appeared next to you out of nowhere, leaning on the locker next to yours. "So are we still on for drinks?" Your ex asked with a grin, completely ignoring the death stares from your partners.
"She's taken." You heard Hondo loudly say as he wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer to him. "You should take a hint." Street mutters under his nose, your ex finally decided it was a smart idea to leave since he saw how your partners were glaring at him.
"You okay sweetheart?" Tan asked quietly, looking at you with soft concern in his voice. Nodding you leaned back against Hondo. "Yeah, I'm okay." You smiled at him reassuringly. "I don't know if I can stand him flirting with you one more day." Luca huffed as he slammed his locker shut. "He's just an idiot– ignore him." Chris said while grabbing her backpack, swinging it over her shoulder. "Ready to go?" Deacon asked, stepping closer to you and Hondo. "Mhm." You nodded while grabbing Deacon's outstretched hand.
"I'm gonna need a drink." You mumbled quietly while leaning against Deac. "We all will after this is over." Street laughed as he held the door open for all of you.
Hi, another poly!20 squad x reader thought for you. Her being the youngest of the group, with the varying age gaps between her and respective partners, absolutely torments them in the most affectionate way possible about it, like constantly calling them old/oldies or saying things like ‘how was the Great Depression’ or ‘what were the dinosaurs like’ with the most shit eating grin and they can’t even be mad about it cause she gets creative with the teasing and sometimes they get back at her with the teasing and stuff

You and your partners were all gathered in the kitchen inside of the SWAT HQ. Hondo was making some sort of soup or stew for everyone, since it was pretty cold outside and by Hondo’s logic if it’s cold outside you’re all eating some sort of warm meal. You couldn’t exactly guess what he was making since you were sitting in the far corner of the kitchen looking at some memes on your phone.
“So Deacon, my sweet angel baby, what was the great depression like?” You ‘innocently’ asked without looking up from your phone, trying to hide the shit-eating grin that slowly appeared on your face. You could hear a few choked sounds coming from your partners. Looking up you saw Chris and Street both trying not to laugh as Hondo and Deacon exchanged looks.
Deacon looked almost offended at your question and nicknames as Tan and Luca openly burst out cackling. “Can you repeat that sweetheart?” Hondo asked while pretending to cough so that Deacon wouldn’t see him laughing. “What was the great depression like Deac? Was it really that bad?” You asked while full on smirking, you couldn’t hide your amusement upon seeing just how offended Deacon looked. “It was great.” Deacon said sarcastically while rolling his eyes. “Thanks grandpa!” You replied cheerfully, before getting up and leaving the kitchen.
Next you decided to target Hondo, which was much easier than you could’ve imagined. It was pretty simple, you asked Hondo to spar. Just a usual workout right? Nope, you decided to go all out this time. Your partners were truly underestimating how creative you could be when you put your mind to it.
Hondo was a good fighter, but by now after being on the team for so long, you knew his weaknesses while fighting. It was simple, you sparred “weakly” barely dodging his punches. Which was all an act, you were one of the best on the team. After noticing how Hondo’s punches grew more sloppy, you decided to take your shot. Twisting and turning you managed to throw Hondo to the ground which didn’t take that much effort. When you managed to pin Hondo the mat, you noticed Cortez and Hicks walking past. You knew this was your shot. Looking up at the two of them you spoke with the most deadpan expression you could manage, “Are all of your ancient artefacts this weak? Or is this one special?”
Cortez and Hicks both tried to stifle their laughter as they walked away, leaving Hondo to deal with you. Hondo just stared up at you offended, in response you only shrugged while letting him go allowing him to stand up. “What? ‘M just stating the facts.” You said with a massive shit-eating grin. “Oh you’re done for Y/l/n.” Mumford joked as he and Rocker passed by.
Before you could even blink, Hondo had picked you up by the back of your t-shirt as if you weighed nothing and tossed you over his shoulder. You tried your best to squirm out of his grip while screaming bloody murder about how you weren’t some misbehaving kitten that he could just pick up whenever he wanted to.
Hondo just patted the back of your thighs as he carried you somewhere. By the flooring you could guess that he was leading you towards the locker room. “Put me down grandpa before you break your back!” You screamed as you tried to wiggle out of his grip. Hondo just chuckled as he entered the locker room and headed into the showers. Realising what he was about to do, you screamed even louder. “DON’T YOU DARE HARRELSON OR ELSE I’LL–” You screamed as Hondo walked into the shower turning the water onto the coldest setting possible and then placed you directly under the ice cold water stream as some sort of punishment. “Count this as payback for that comment Darlin’” Hondo said with a grin but before he could react you pulled him into the shower, pushing him under the ice cold stream right next to you. You knew it was all in good fun, but you couldn't help the urge to get some sort of payback on him, giggling you simply stared at him with a massive grin.
During the ride to one of the SWAT raids, you saw the perfect occasion to tease Luca as he talked about an old movie he rewatched recently. “Okay gramps we know you’re ancient but damn…” You said with a smirk while fixing your gear, Street couldn’t hold back his laughter as Luca stared at you through the rearview mirror. “Careful there princess, don’t forget who’s driving Black Betty.” Tan snickered from the passenger seat. “I’ll get you back for that— just you wait.” Luca playfully warned as he parked Black Betty.
When you all had some time off together Street was talking about some toy he had as a kid, you couldn’t help but chime in after Street said that the toy soon got discontinued and was now only available from resellers who charged an arm and a leg for the toy. “So what were the dinosaurs like Streeter? I mean since all of your toys are now considered vintage…” Upon seeing Street’s offended pout you burst out laughing so hard you were clutching your stomach. When you almost fell down from the couch due to how hard you were laughing, Chris pulled you up as she also laughed. “I mean she’s not exactly wrong Street.” Chris said as Street tossed one of the couch pillows at the both of you making the both of you laugh even more.
Soon Tan dared you to race him around HQ and whoever got to the motorpool first got to pick what was for dinner that night. It didn’t take much effort for you to beat Tan in the race– except you cheated. But none of your partners had to know that… As soon as Tan managed to catch up to you, you were waiting for him with a massive smirk on your face as he approached. “Okay there old man, no need to get so out of breath.” You teased with a smirk. Tan just glared at you as he panted. “You're evil sweetheart. I hope you know that.” Tan said as he leaned on the wall next to you, clutching his chest as he tried to calm his heart rate.
After an eventful night out, you and all of your partners fell asleep together on the massive bed. You, Chris and Tan were at the very edge of the bed, due to your other partners tendencies to move around in their sleep– which would almost shove the rest of you out of bed. Sometimes it ended in you sleeping on the couch with Chris or Tan, since the rest of them either snored like logs or would move around in their sleep, waking up everyone else at the same time.
The sun was slowly rising and you would feel Chris starting to stir and wake up next to you. “Morning sleepyhead.” You whispered into her ear as you pulled her closer to you, pressing a kiss into the back of her neck. “‘S too early for you to be this cheerful.” Chris groaned as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Giggling you began to tickle her ribs and sides, making Chris squeal as she tried to move away from you.
Groaning, Chris stood up from bed and all of her joints let out a loud crack. As soon as you both heard that crack, Chris turned back to look at you as she shot you a deathly glare. Silently mouthing “Don’t you dare.” but you ignored Chris’s warnings and started giggling while sitting up to lean closer to her and whisper. “Okay grandma.”
Knowing how Chris could be, you jumped out of bed giggling as you ran down the stairs to escape Chris’s wrath (or otherwise her tendency to tickle any of your partners if they made her mad enough) Chris fully jumped out of bed racing after you, yelling that she’ll show you just of how a “grandma” she is. Running down the stairs you almost tripped while trying to escape Chris and her tickling. Turning around for a second as soon as you reached the living room was a mistake. Chris tackled you onto the sofa, pinning you down while tickling your sides and stomach. You were laughing so hard you couldn’t speak or form any words.
Soon the rest of your partners also headed downstairs– your giggling and Chris’s taunts must’ve woken them up. Upon seeing Deacon you shot him your best puppy dog eyes, silently begging him to get Chris to stop tickling you. Deacon just shook his head with a smirk. “Oh don’t look at me sweetheart, I’m not helping you.” Deacon said while laughing before heading to the kitchen to get started on breakfast.
After a while Chris took mercy on you, finally climbing off of you allowing you to breathe as you glared at her. “I hate you Alonso.” You panted as you tried to catch your breath. “I love you too.” Chris replied as she ruffled your already dishevelled hair. When you both headed into the kitchen Hondo handed you a cup of coffee, without thinking twice you took a sip before immediately coughing and spitting it out into the sink. The bastards had put salt into your coffee instead of sugar. “YOU TRAITORS!” You yelled as you took a sip of fresh water from the tap, trying to get rid of that awful taste in your mouth.
Your partners just exchanged a smirk and shrugged. “That’s payback for all those comments about our ages.” Luca said with a cheeky smile. “I hate you all.” You grumbled as you tried not to smile.
warnings : R gets slapped by a client, soft & protective 20 squad
a/n : I'm finally getting back into writing !! I've been very sick recently & that's why I didn't post for so long :) I'll probably end up rewriting this as i don't like how it turned out…
A few days later you were scheduled for your next shift at the club. Still buzzing from the excitement of being a new SWAT officer.
You changed into sweatpants and a hoodie before tossing all of your things into the bag you'd always bring– filled with necessary essentials like mascara, lip gloss, perfume, a mini first aid kit and other random things you might need.
Sydney was the one who taught you to always pack a separate bag for the club, since you never knew what you may need or what could be useful. She took you under her wing when you first started working there– jokingly saying that you reminded her of her younger self back when she first started working there all wide-eyed and nervous.
The club was opening up right as you walked inside, waving to the bartender and bouncer, you quickly headed into the locker room. Sydney was already there doing her eyeliner, upon seeing you standing in the doorway, she quickly finished her makeup before tugging you further into the locker room.
Sydney looked all giddy as she squeezed your shoulders. "Remember that group you had during your last shift?" She asked with a playful smile, nodding you looked at her confused. "Well they asked for you again Sugar– by name." Sydney grinned as you stared at her in shock. "They did? I only danced once and served them drinks– that's all…" You said quietly, staring at Syd waiting for her to burst out laughing and tell you it's a joke. Clients rarely asked for you by name. "I guess they saw something in you, Candy." She said teasingly.
"C'mon let's get you all dolled up." Sydney grinned as she opened your locker and began digging for an outfit you could wear. "I'll do your makeup but you need to hurry!"
Quickly grabbing the things Syd picked out for you, you walked into one of the bathroom stalls and quickly changed out of your hoodie and sweatpants into the outfit she picked out. Sydney had already prepped all the makeup needed for you tonight and as soon as you exited the stall she looked you over with a smile.
"Well don't you look stunning!" She smiled while gesturing for you to sit down on a nearby chair so she could do your makeup.
After your hair and makeup was done, you looked like a completely different person. Quickly spraying on some perfume you took one last look in the mirror before heading out the door of the so called 'locker room' and onto the dance floor.
Putting on a flirty smile you walked over to the bar, grabbed the tray of drinks before heading towards the table your clients were sitting at. Luckily you weren't going to be alone as another girl would also be on the floor dancing with you.
You were still surprised to hear that someone asked for you by name, that never really happened. When you walked over carrying the tray of drinks, you immediately saw how the groups faces lit up.
When you approached and placed the drinks on the table, you noticed that the man with dimples in his cheeks was subtly checking you out. "Thank you, sweetheart." The woman with short black hair said with a sweet smile, nodding you smiled back at her before putting the empty tray away and heading towards the stage.
Walking past the girl who was going to be working with you, you shot her a small smile. Getting into position on stage, you waited for the music to start playing. As soon as the music began playing through the speakers, you both began dancing.
The club was slowly filling up with more and more people. You could see a bunch of businessmen sitting at a table near the stage, eyeing you and the other girl with a predatory sparkle in their eyes. The group who asked about you, also noticed the men staring. The woman with short black hair leaned in and whispered something to the massive blonde haired man that was sitting next to her. They didn't look pleased as they whispered to each other.
After your routine was done, you stepped off the stage and headed over to the bar, the barman was a friendly guy in his late 20's. He always made you a drink at the end of shift when you worked together, saying that you deserved it for all your hard work. Upon noticing you standing near the bar, he quickly filled a glass with some water and handed it to you, it was a small but kind gesture— something he did for all the girls who worked at the club after their routines or shifts were over.
"Candy, can you do me a massive favor?" The bar man asked with a pleading and apologetic smile, nodding you replied. "Shoot, what's the favor and what do I get out of it?" You asked playfully, to which he simply rolled his eyes. "I need you to take a bunch of beers to that table." He nodded in the direction of the businessmen, sighing softly you nodded.
You could already tell how the interaction was going to go, nonetheless you picked up the tray of drinks and headed over to their table with what you hoped was a friendly enough smile. As soon as you got to their table and placed all of their drinks onto the table, one of the men spoke up with a sleazy smile. "What's a pretty thing like you doing here?" He asked while visibly looking you up and down with that same creepy smile. "Just working." You replied, trying to keep the conversation short.
You noticed how the woman with short black hair was glaring at the men from across the room. The bald man next to her also didn't look too happy. Grabbing the now empty tray and turning to walk away, you felt one of the man smack your ass as they all laughed.
Your cheeks flushed from the humiliation as you caught the bouncers eye, he was moving towards the men who were still laughing and joking about how he touched the stripper. Knowing that the bouncer would deal with them, you quickly walked away. This was the first time something like this had happened to you, you heard all the horror stories from the other girls but this hadn't happened to you yet.
Walking past the group from last time, you stopped by their table. "Can I get you any new drinks?" You asked with a polite smile, trying your best not to show how shaken up you were by the earlier encounter. "Are you okay?" The man with salt and pepper hair asked, leaning in and looking at you with concern written all over his face. "I'm fine, some people just get rowdy here, no big deal." You said with what you hoped was a reassuring smile. They didn't look too convinced at your words, the bald man looked at you with pity or maybe concern in his eyes, you couldn't really tell which.
"He's lucky I can't get to him." You overheard the man with short black hair mutter to the man with dimples who was sitting next to him. "Trust me he'll be dealt with, the bouncers don't mess around here." You said with a small smile. "Good." The woman with short black hair nodded in approval.
Hey, I have a request and you can go as fluffy or smutty as you want with this one. Poly!20 squad x reader and their various reactions to seeing reader wearing items of their clothing for the first time. Like their sweatshirts or hoodies or something, especially if it’s got their names on it like their old SWAT academy stuff, please? Thank you
A/n : anon I'm respectfully screaming because this is so cute jdjfkfjfkfkkdkd If you have any more requests/ideas or just want to rant about them please feel free to do so (I need to talk about them with someone) this is more in a sort of head canon form so I hope that's okay !! 🫶 (I didn't know how else to write this)

Chris Alonso :
The first time Chris saw you in her clothes- an old academy shirt with her last name written in bold letters at the back of it. Chris's reaction was immediate, her eyes lit up with pure joy at seeing you in her clothes and lust because she felt like it was her way of laying claim on you. “Nice shirt Y/l/n.” Chris commented with a sly grin while approaching you and placing her hands on your hips. “Thanks. I borrowed it from my favourite girl.” You grinned back while pulling Chris into a kiss. Chris then pulled you into the bedroom slamming the door shut with her foot.
A few hours later when you walked out of the bedroom limping, the rest of your partners couldn't resist snickering and giggling upon seeing the hickeys on your neck & collarbones. Upon seeing yourself in the mirror you just yelled “Alonso!!! How am I supposed to go to work like this tomorrow?!” To which Chris just giggled while yelling back from the stairs. “Not my fault you wore my clothes!” She yelled back while the rest of your partners just shared an amused glance. “She ain't wrong…” Hondo said while sipping on some orange juice. Upon seeing the glare you shot him, he immediately shut up but couldn't help smirking.
Jim Street :
It was cold outside and you didn't have much time to get to work, so you grabbed the first jacket you could reach from the wardrobe near the door. Your partners surely wouldn't mind? Right?? Getting to work, you noticed how everyone was shooting you smirks or small grins. You didn't understand why everyone was looking at you so oddly. Until you got to the locker room and locked eyes with Street. He looked you up and down before smirking. “Nice jacket.” He complimented while approaching you and standing in front of you. That's when you noticed and realised- it was Street's favourite leather jacket. “Oh.” Was the only sound you could let out while your cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. “Sorry I didn't realise-” you didn't even get to finish your sentence before Street shut you up with a kiss. “Don't. It looks good on you. Probably even better than it does on me.” Deacon then interrupted you both. “Not to interrupt you two but we have a job to do.” Deacon said while pulling a face before he quickly crossed the room to kiss you. “You look nice sweetheart- but when will you start wearing my clothes?” Deacon asked teasingly while kissing you on the lips & squeezing you tightly.
Deacon Kay :
One day when it was raining heavily in LA, you got soaked to the bone while walking home. You had to stay late at HQ since you still had some things to do, while your partners all headed back home. Walking out of HQ you saw how it began to rain a little but you thought you'd be fine, it was just a little rain. Until it started pouring down. That's when you knew it was a bad idea not to call a ride or one of your partners to come pick you up.
When you got home Deacon was the first to open the door, he looked relieved upon seeing you there but at the same time he seemed worried seeing how your clothes were drenched and clinging to your skin. Deacon immediately pulled you inside before he helped you take off your wet jacket and hanging it up on the radiator to dry out.
“C’mon let me help you shower.” Deacon said with a small teasing sparkle in his eyes. You nodded before allowing Deacon to drag you into the bathroom. As soon as you got into the shower Deacon had left the bathroom saying he needed to grab you some fresh clothes. You were mildly surprised to walk out of the shower and see Deacon's hoodie and sweatpants laying on the bathroom counter. Finally understanding what he had done, you snickered quietly while shaking your head amused.
Quickly getting changed into the warm clothes you went to find Deacon, on your way to the kitchen you passed Hondo who couldn't help but stare at you a little. “Nice clothes Darlin’” Hondo said with a smirk, you just rolled your eyes slightly at his words. “Where's Deac?” You asked while looking around. Before Hondo could answer Deacon appeared in the doorway- he smirked as soon as he saw the clothes you were wearing and gave Hondo a knowing look. “Told you she'd look good in my clothes.” Deacon said with a teasing grin before he sat down next to you and Hondo, pulling you into his arms and kissing the back of your neck.
Dominique Luca :
One day Luca finally dragged you out of bed early to go swimming. After some groaning and complaining you complied and got dressed still half asleep. Swimming in the cold water definitely woke you up and after a bit of racing to see who could swim faster and water fighting, you both decided to call it a quit for today.
Heading back to where you left your towels you collapsed onto the sand with a tired groan. “‘M never ever letting you drag me outside to go swimming this early in the morning again.” You said while looking up at Luca with half lidded eyes. He just laughed while sitting down next to you and ruffling your wet hair. Luca then held out his SWAT hoodie for you to take and put on, since it was still pretty cold outside.
“Thank you for doing this with me.” Luca said with a smile while he petted your hair. “As much as I hate swimming in cold water I have to admit this was fun.” You replied while sitting up and pulling on his hoodie. “You do know I'm never giving this back right?” You asked with a small cheeky grin while Luca laughed. “Well that was the whole point you hoodie thief. I knew you wouldn't give it back, but it suits you.” Luca just said while your cheeks flushed pink. “Idiot.” You grumbled under your breath as Luca laughed loudly.

By now you were known to ‘steal’ or in your words “accidentally borrow” your partner's clothes and then ‘forget’ to give them back. It was almost funny when one of your partners was yelling your name throughout the house while searching for a missing piece of their clothing. You rarely– if ever gave those clothes back, Chris was the one who would pull an uno reverse card on you by stealing back one of your t-shirts or taking just one of your socks which drove you insane trying to find that one missing sock from the pair. Each time you did that Chris and Street would giggle among themselves, knowing how mad it drove you. But Chris didn’t stop doing so since in her words “you look cute and sexy when mad.”
Victor Tan :
It happened on a random Tuesday, Tan was almost late to work searching for his favourite shirt. He couldn't find it anywhere. Tan had looked everywhere, no sign of that stupid t-shirt. When he heard your voice from downstairs he almost immediately knew what happened upon hearing how cheerful you sounded.
Grumbling to himself about that lost shirt Tan headed down the stairs pausing mid-step as he saw what you were wearing– one of Street's jeans along with his t-shirt. The same one Tan had been tossing the house upside down trying to find it. “Are you ready yet?” You asked with an innocent smile while pulling on your shoes.
“Wha-where did you get that t-shirt! You know I've been turning the house upside down trying to find it!” Victor said while glaring at you, he tried his best to look annoyed but it didn't work out that well. He looked mildly proud to see you wearing his t-shirt but he'd never admit it out loud– especially not to you or any of your partners. It was as if he knew that when you walked into HQ everyone would see that you were theirs. By now you'd stolen a piece of clothing from almost everyone.
“I found it.” You just shrugged with a smirk. “Now c’mon are you ready? We’re gonna be late and I'd rather not get my ass chewed out by Hicks.” Tan just sighed in defeat knowing you were right. “Fine.” He huffed while grabbing his hoodie that he left on the couch and putting it on quickly. By now all of your partners were in the car waiting for the two of you. “And for the record? You look amazing in my clothes.” Tan grinned while kissing your cheek before pulling you out the door.
Hondo Harrelson :
After an awful mission all you wanted was to go home, lay in bed and sleep for hours. Hondo was the one who found you sitting at the table in HQ , staring blankly at your half-empty mug of coffee that had already gone cold. You had no idea for how long you'd been sitting there. You just wanted to disappear, the mission went wrong and you couldn't help but blame yourself. Maybe if you were faster- maybe if…
Hondo's voice pulled you out of those dark thoughts. He placed something warm on your shoudlers. "You okay Darlin'?" Hondo's voice was gentle, as he took the mug filled with coffee out of your shaking hands. "Mhm" You just nodded while looking up at him with glassy eyes. Looking up you saw that Hondo had put his favourite SWAT jacket on your shoulders. The jacket smelled like him and you couldn't help but wrap it around yourself even tighter.
Hondo smiled at your gesture before grabbing your hand and tugging you towards the sofa in the corner of the SWAT kitchen. Following him silently you allowed him to pull you into his lap, and rested your head on the top of his chest close to his heart. "You look nice in my clothes." He whispered into your ear, trying to cheer you up. "I look good in everything Harrelson." You giggled quietly in response. "Just don't expect to get this jacket back anytime soon. It's mine now." You added with a small playful smile. "Wouldn't dream of taking it from you sweetheart."
I got an idea and I dont know what to do with it, so here we go
What about Street and Reader being in the system together when they were younger and they were so close, like each other's person (childhood sweethearts maybe?)
They eventually got separated growing up, but never forgetting the other
Years later, Street is in the swat and has partners now (poly!20 squad) but never forgets about Reader
They meet again one day and its just so heartwarming
But Reader learned that Street is in a poly relationship and she doesn't to step on boundaries, so she keeps distance until 20 squad are just adopting her into the relationship because if Street loves her that much, there must be reasons right?
Just a little angst to fluffy comfort 🥹
I apologize, I rambled a lot but I got the idea and I had to share it with someone (I hope it makes sense and of course, feel free to not write it!!)
Title : childhood sweethearts
Warnings : just a little bit of angst & miscommunication, i don't know if there's anything else… (if there is pls lmk!!)
a/n : this was soo cute & I loved writing this !! 🥹thank you so much for the request & I hope this is okay :)

You could still remember it like it was yesterday– meeting Street in foster care, when you were both kids. Buck had introduced the two of you, since he thought it would be nice if you met someone who was in a similar situation as you. At first you didn't really trust him, after everything you went through it was hard to trust people. But Street somehow managed to break through all of your walls.
He never gave up on trying to get to know you better, despite how many times you tried to push him away or ignore him. Buck would always joke that the two of you were like two peas in a pod. Soon the two of you became best friends, constantly hanging out together and being around each other.
Until one day after right after high school graduation, Street told you that he'd be following in Buck's footsteps and becoming a police officer. You decided to take a completely different path and become a photographer.
—
Soon Jim moved to Long Beach and joined the police academy, while you headed to New York City to chase your dreams of becoming a photographer. You lost contact with each other, both becoming busy with life and your studies, but you never forgot Street since he was your first true best friend…
From Buck's wife - Jenny, you heard about what happened with Buck and how he was fired, and that Street took Buck's place in SWAT. You were happy for Street even if the two of you didn't contact each other anymore. You still kept in touch with Buck and his wife, they were always so kind and sweet to you treating you as if you were one of their own.
To your shock one day you were contacted by Captain Cortez, she explained that the press wanted to do a piece on SWAT and that she always admired your photography. So she made a deal that the only way she would agree to the interviews and press release was if you were the photographer.
After some quick google searching you discovered that the squad you were supposed to photograph was Street's team— you felt a little giddy at the thought of seeing him again even after so many years…
Street was your first ever boy crush but you never said anything to anyone, the only person who knew was Jenny- Buck's wife. Since she figured it out pretty quickly, but you never had the chance to tell Street, he had plenty of girlfriends in high school, so you felt like you never even had a chance. After packing up all your needed gear, you called Captain Cortez back asking if the offer was still on the table.
Soon after you were on a plane from New York City to LA. Jessica offered to pick you up from the airport, she was also the one who booked a fancy hotel for you, ignoring your protests about how you could do it by yourself. Cortez said that the city was paying for it so why not go all out? The six hour flight went by so fast, you were focusing on writing back some emails and checking if you had everything. This wasn't your first flight but it still felt just as exciting.
After grabbing all your bags from the airport, you were fully prepared to order a ride to the hotel you would be staying at, but to your surprise you saw Captain Cortez waiting for you, upon noticing you her smile widened. "It's nice to finally see you in person Y/n, all those articles about you don't do you justice." She smiled brightly, as you laughed.
"It's nice to meet you Captain, I'm sure we'll get along well." You said with a small smile, as Cortez took off her sunglasses, hiding them into her bag. "Please just call me Jess or Jessica— Captain sounds so formal." She smiled as she grabbed one of your bags from you, leading you towards the underground parking lot. The car ride to your hotel went by fast, you and Jessica got along very well. It turned out you had many shared hobbies. After you were all checked in to the hotel, Jess said her goodbyes as she had to return to the SWAT HQ, but not before promising that someone would pick you up tomorrow bright and early.
Collapsing onto the hotel bed, you let out a soft groan. You were exhausted and it felt so good to just be able to sleep and rest after the long flight. The next day as promised you were picked up from your hotel in a fancy black car and brought to the SWAT HQ, at the entrance you were given a small badge that said "PRESS" on it. Soon you also met Commander Hicks who shook your hand tightly, saying that Cortez was singing praises about your photography.
After a quick walk through the SWAT HQ you were allowed to set up all your gear in a nearby conference room. You spend most of the day following around Jessica, as long as she wasn't called out somewhere. Each time you wanted to photograph 20 Squad they were always busy or called out on a mission. Soon their shift was over and they left before you even got the occasion to see them.
The next day you came to HQ early, hoping to catch 20 squad, before they were called out for a mission. After setting down all your gear in the conference room like yesterday.
Soon you heard voices– and one voice was very familiar. It was Street. Taking a deep breath you headed out of the conference room, camera in hand.
Street was there with his squad, joking around and laughing. Upon hearing footsteps Street looked up and his jaw dropped. "Y/n?" He asked quietly while stepping closer. "In the flesh." You grinned as Street hugged you tightly, lifting you off the ground as he laughed. "Oh Jesus– I thought I'd never see you again." Street laughed while hugging you even tighter.
Then you heard someone clear their throat behind Street. "Not to interrupt but who are you?" A male voice asked, pulling away from Street you saw the legendary Hondo Harrelson. "Oh I'm the photographer– I'm just supposed to photograph your team for that article. Captain Cortez asked me." You said while glancing at Street and then at his entire team.
"Wow you finally became a photographer– who would've thought." Street said teasingly while poking your side. "Ha ha very funny James." You rolled your eyes, you knew he was kidding. "Guys this is my childhood best friend Y/n." Jim smiled proudly as he looked at his team who all nodded in return and one by one introduced themselves, shaking your hand tightly.
Just then they were called out for a mission and Street squeezed your shoulder before promising to catch up to you later. Moving out of the way, you watched as they gathered their gear and quickly ran to the armored truck.
Soon after you found out from Jess that Street was in a poly relationship with his partners. You weren't really that surprised given how they looked at each other, but you knew that all of your hope for reconnecting with Street was probably gone…
Days later you were still at HQ photographing the team along with other SWAT members, you were trying to keep your distance from Street. He of course noticed but didn't say anything yet, he'd just stare at you with those confused puppy dog eyes. You didn't want to overstep anything so you simply kept your distance.
One of the other team leaders of SWAT– Rocker. Brought you "under his wing" he wasn't condescending even if he'd make dry jokes and sarcastic quips from time to time, but he always checked up on you when he could. He never underestimated you, since after he brought you once to the shooting range for fun, he was left stunned upon seeing you hit bullseye each time. Rocker would sometimes call you his "little duckling" in a teasing manner, over time he became somewhat like an older brother.
On one of your last days at SWAT before you had to head back to New York City, Rocker stopped you, pulling you into a corner. "So what's the story between you and Hollywood?" Rocker asked while staring at you intently. "Street and I were childhood friends, we met through Buck." He just nodded along to your words. "How long have you been in love with him?" He suddenly asked, you froze like a deer in headlights, staring at him shocked– was it that easy to tell?!
"Since middle school… but I don't stand a chance. Besides he's in a relationship and he's happy and I won't ruin that for him." You sighed quietly while looking down at the ground. Rocker sighed quietly, looking at you with confusion. "You're the most oblivious person I know Y/l/n." He said before squeezing your shoulder and walking away.
Staring at Rockers retreating figure you just frowned confused. What did he mean by calling you oblivious?!
Soon it was the last day of time in LA, before you had to head back home. Heading around SWAT you took some final shots of the officers there, before heading to the kitchen to grab a drink. Then you overheard your name being mentioned– freezing right before the entrance door to the kitchen, you listened in as you heard Street and his team talking about you.
After a few moments you saw Hondo look up towards the doorway, behind which you were hiding. Knowing that your cover was busted, you slowly entered the kitchen, camera still in hand. "How much did you overhear?" Deacon asked you quietly while crossing his arms against his chest, Street was looking at you with confusion and hurt on his face. Looking down at the floor & avoiding eye contact you spoke quietly. "Enough. I leave tonight so you don't have to worry about me wrecking your relationship, I'll be out of your hair soon enough."
You could hear a pin drop by how silent it was. "Wreck our relationship? What the hell are you even talking about Y/n?!" Street asked confused and hurt. "I'm leaving in a few hours, so you don't have to worry about me getting in between you all and Street." You said while looking at all of them, avoiding looking at Street. "I'll send Captain Cortez the final photos after I get back to NYC." You smiled sadly before nodding and quickly exiting the kitchen, heading towards where you left your gear to pack up. No one followed after you…
Meanwhile the team was standing there shocked since you had misunderstood their words… they didn't want you to leave! They wanted you to join their relationship since they saw how Street looked at you– they wanted you to stay and not leave…
Heading back to the hotel you packed up the rest of your things, including all your camera gear. Sighing softly you looked through the window with the view out into the city. LA had changed so much, maybe you did too…
Soon your phone began ringing, looking at the caller ID, you already knew who was calling– Street. Declining the call, you zipped up your bag, taking one last glance at your hotel room you quickly grabbed all your gear and left for the elevator. After turning in your keycard at the front desk, you said your goodbyes to the hotel staff and got into the taxi that was already waiting to take you to LAX.
The airport was busy as always and you quickly went towards the check in desk, only to hear someone calling out your name. Looking back you saw Street standing there, phone in hand. His hair was all messy as if he'd been running his hands through it nervously. He was out of breath as he stared at you with wide eyes.
"I thought you already left." Street said while trying to catch his breath. "My plane leaves soon so I am leaving." You replied with a small teasing grin. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at work?" You asked while frowning, Street shook his head.
"Took some time off. I wanted to talk to you– y'know explain everything, before you go." He said nervously, you just shook your head while squeezing his shoulder. "There's nothing to explain. You don't owe me any explanations." You smiled softly at him while glancing back at the check-in desk. "I should probably go–" You said while nodding your head in the direction of the desk area.
"Stay." Street suddenly interrupted you. "I can't lose you again Y/n. Please just stay–" Street said pleadingly. "I can't… Street I have a life in New York, and you have a life here. We both know I can't stay." You replied while shaking your head. Sighing softly you went to the check-in desk and gave your luggage and all your information, leaving only your small backpack with your camera gear and most important essentials.
You could feel Street staring behind you, but you didn't look back– you couldn't. Since you knew that if you did, you would stay.
The flight back to NYC was uneventful and peaceful. You put in your earphones and played some music before trying to get some sleep. After getting to your apartment you finally turned on your phone to see zero missed calls and no unanswered texts. Jet lag soon got to you, making you pass out exhausted onto the couch.
The next morning you woke up to loud banging on your apartment door. Groaning softly you got up, it was 6 am. Who was at your door at this hour? You had a semi-good idea on who it may be but you told yourself that was impossible.
Grumbling to yourself you unlocked the deadbolt, opening the door you were stood face to face with Street. Rubbing your eyes, you blinked a few times unable to believe who you were seeing. "Street what are you–" Before you could finish your sentence, Street was already pushing past you and walking into your apartment.
Street looked like hell to put it lightly, his hair was a mess as if he'd been running his hand through his hair, like he always did while nervous with bloodshot eyes as if he'd been crying. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in LA at work?" You asked confused while staring at him. "I came to explain something." He said while looking at you with a nervous smile. "Street there is nothing to explain like I said it's fine, just go back to LA." You said quietly, Streets nervous smile turned into a frown. "I don't want to go back to LA before I explain it– can you just let me explain something? After you can kick me out or whatever, just please let me explain something." Street said pleadingly.
Nodding reluctantly you agreed to hear him out. "So what did you want to explain then?" You asked softly, Street nervously looked around your tiny apartment before speaking. "What you overheard in the kitchen at HQ– you misunderstood us. We weren't talking about making you leave or anything… actually we wanted you to stay in LA." Upon seeing your confusion Street continued.
"Y/n I've been in love with you for years– everyone apparently saw it apart from you. The team wants you to come back to LA. You'd have better job opportunities and– and we all love you. Please Y/n just think about it. I'm not saying you immediately have to agree and join the poly relationship but just… think about it. My partners all love you and so do I…" Street said softly, looking at you with those puppy dog eyes that somehow always made you melt inside.
"Are you sure? I don't want to ruin your relationship by joining it." You whispered quietly, looking at Street for reassurance. You knew he'd never lie to you, but you needed to just make sure… His team and partners were all stunning and you'd love to join their relationship but you didn't want to ruin the special thing they all had.
"If I wasn't sure I wouldn't be here." Street grinned at you, smiling so widely you could see the dimples in his cheeks. "Okay." You said softly, upon hearing your words Street pulled you into a bone crushing hug, squeezing you tightly as he held you. "Does this move you'll consider moving to LA?" He asked hopefully.
"I might've already gotten a job offer from a huge newspaper company in LA." You smiled in return and Street hugged you even tighter if that was even possible. "Let me breathe Street–" You managed to gasp out, he immediately loosened his grip on you, apologising. Street couldn't help but smile, he missed you so much and he was so glad you'd at least consider moving back to LA.
"So does this mean that me and my partners can take you out on a proper date? You don't have to decide just yet of course!" Street asked excitedly, he was like an overexcited puppy sometimes. "Sure, but we would need to get back to LA first." You laughed quietly, Street just grinned mysteriously in response.
"Well we might've all taken a few days off to come here…" Street said as his cheeks flushed pink in mild embarrassment. "You're kidding right…?" You laughed while looking at him, waiting to see if he was joking. "Nope. They're waiting in the lobby if you'd like to see them." Street said proudly, your eyes widened but you nodded eagerly.
"Just let me get dressed into proper clothes and then maybe I could show you all around New York?" You suggested as Street's smile brightened even more– if that was even possible. Kissing Street's cheek, you quickly headed into your bedroom to change clothes.
After you were dressed, you grabbed your keys and met Street at the front door where he was waiting eagerly. "You look nice." Street said while wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you close. "Thanks." You just smiled while locking the door.
Heading down the stairs to the main floor, you heard hushed conversations from Street's team– when you finally appeared with Street you could see everyone's gazes snap to you, silently asking the same question. "She said yes to a date." Street smiled brightly while squeezing your shoulder. "And after that we'll see where it all goes." You added with a small smile.
Luca immediately hugged you tightly almost lifting you off the ground. "Welcome to the madness Y/n." Hondo said with an amused smile. "I'm glad you agreed to at least one date since poor Street here was going mad with nerves." Tan said jokingly while Street poked his side annoyed, huffing under his breath that Tan was a liar. Chris just shook her head amused at all the chaos. "So you know any good breakfast spots around here?" Deacon asked with a gentle smile. "Oh I know the best breakfast place ever." You said while finally pulling away from Luca who reluctantly let you go.
Leading the team out of your apartment building you headed towards your favourite breakfast spot– perfect for a first date. Street then caught up to you and nudged your shoulder. "Just like in the old times hm?" He said teasingly, grinning at you as he looked around.
When you and Street were much younger and still in foster care, Buck would always take the two of you out for breakfast on Saturdays, it was a weekly ritual you never skipped.
"Just like the old times, with even better company." You smiled back while glancing back at Street's team that was still following you.
just a little thought you can turn into a fic if you want, poly!20 squad x reader, the team getting jealous cause reader gets flirted with and is seemingly unaware of it. Like there’s a new member of 50 squad trying to hit on her, she’s oblivious while the team’s like internally going insane with like jealousy and slight possessiveness cause that’s their girl, not the newbie’s. So after a while of her being hit on without realising, they decide to start doing stuff about it, like leaving obvious hickeys and stuff on her before finally deciding to properly ‘remind’ her she’s theirs (can make it as smutty as you want) and after it reader’s all giggly cause she thinks the unnecessary jealousy was cute
-💛xx(sorry if I’m flooding your inbox a little, love your writing so much)
A/n : this is more of a headcanon format, since i wrote this right before some ppl came over so I didn't have the time to format it properly 😭 so I hope this is okay! if you have any more thoughts or requests etc. please send them in !! & you're not flooding my inbox at all!! I don't mind it & I appreciate all of the asks 🫶
warnings : a little bit of suggestive language (?), implied past smut, idk if there's anything else 😭
- You were one of the most oblivious people to exist. (according to your partners.)
- The new member of 50 squad was a massive flirt.
- Constantly trying to be close to you, offering to work-out with you or trying to make you laugh
- He wasn't your type. But you tried to be nice and polite to him, since you knew how hard it was to start out fresh in a place where you didn't know anyone
- Your partners were going insane with jealousy.
- Chris was constantly glaring at the man each time he was close to you. As if silently telling him “Back off. She's ours.”
- Street was being petty by constantly ‘forgetting’ to help the newbie with his gear or show him how the armoury works and other things like that.
- Maybe to some it wasn't ‘petty’ but to Street it was a small way of showing the newbie to back off since you're not his.
- Hicks and Cortez were the ones who designated Street to show him around and Street hated every second of it.
- Street wouldn't stop complaining about how annoying the newbie was being.
- Just when you thought that the newbie had finally gotten the message that you were in a happy relationship & not interested. You overheard him talking to Rocker in the locker room. Rocker laughed at the rookie's words, while warning him that you were taken.
- The rookie just laughed saying that he “has a way with women & would manage to convince you to go out on a date with him.”
- Rocker just told him to watch out.
- Soon Deacon began bringing you coffee & energy drinks.
- Which was a bit odd since Deacon was usually the one saying how “bad” they are for your health.
- But you didn't question it & instead would kiss his cheek each time saying “thank you.”
- Each time Luca was next to you he'd always pull you closer to him, sometimes grabbing your hand and squeezing it tightly or just kissing your forehead. You didn't notice it but every time Luca did it, the newbie was nearby.
- Hondo was the one who started leaving hickeys in such places they were noticeable, like your collarbones & neck.
- He'd also always shadow you, standing nearby and holding a hand on your back.
- You tried your best to cover the more visible ones with makeup or some sort of clothing.
- But it never fully worked out.
- Your partners would always laugh when you got frustrated in the mornings upon seeing the multiple hickeys covering your chest & neck.
- One day they finally decided to do something proper about it.
- Let's just say– you were walking funny the next morning…
- When you limped into the locker room that morning, Rocker couldn't help but burst out laughing.
- “I see they finally decided to do something about the newbie.” Rocker said while he walked closer and looked at your neck. “Damn Y/l/n, did you sleep with a vampire? Or should I say…a few certain jealous vampires?” Rocker said with a sly smirk while suggestively wiggling his eyebrows at you.
- You just smacked his shoulder in mock-annoyance.
- You & Rocker had a friendly relationship & he was the biggest cheerleader when it came to your romantic relationship with 20 squad.
- He was the one who actually convinced you to tell them about your feelings.
- Tan was the one most obvious about his jealousy.
- He challenged the newbie to spar with him, saying that the practice would do him good.
- When Tan knocked the newbie to the mat, you saw him whisper something to the rookie who just nodded nervously, avoiding looking at you.
- You then realised what they were trying to do the whole time.
- They were jealous! This whole time you were so oblivious to it.
- From that day on, the newbie stopped flirting with you.
- He finally got the message that you were in a happy & committed relationship.
- But you still couldn't help teasing your partners about their jealousy from time to time.
