Ever since I stumble across your blog due to because I’m an Albedo simp, I adore how well-written your stories are, whenever I get to read them, especially Sumeru arc, I felt like I was really in the story, no kidding ♥︎ And thankfully, I have the courage to share my ideas and scenarios with you, regarding Cynari poly and Cylou poly.
CYNARI + POLY ; Liyue’s forgotten guardian
⌲Ever since I have read your Cynari’s Chase the Mirage II, in the nearly-end of the story when it mentioned “Liyue” my thoughts instantly went to Xiao, the Yakshas and the Chasm, due to because I may like the Yakshas and the Chasm’s lore and it’s hidden secrets that lies beneath. And so, I got a scenario that the reader might be an adeptus (Or a half-adeptus and a half-human if you prefer). So let me get into the story:
〈STARTS HERE〉There were once a tale that was forgotten in the modern civilization, a guardian that was once protects the ancient Liyue of Rex Lapis. It was told that this adeptus was related to the Conquerer of Demons but was never confirm it’s veracity. During the war that was held in the city of Contracts, the Adeptus and the Electro Yaksha had tasked to fend off the creatures of the fallen kingdom from trespassing the world of mortals. And so, as the battle goes on and on, the Electro yaksha had requested for the adeptus to flee along the rest of the falllen soldiers, but they were too stubborn to flee as they want to assist the yaksha in any possibilities they can, but of course, the Electro yaksha push them and the soldiers away as soon as the battle continues and made a big impact.
Unbeknownst to the yaksha, the adeptus was rather stubborn and want to help by bouncing back into their feet and find the battle that has inflicted. However, the adeptus somehow ended up in a hidden portion of the Chasm’s Underground mines that they are not familiar with: The roots of the valley of Life. In there, they met a horde of creatures and monsters. They took their weapon and ignited their own fight. After that exhausting battle that seems goes on forever, the poor adeptus was now covered in gashes and blood dripping down their body. Their eyes were almost dull. Their limbs became numb.
Before they could slip into the void of consciousness, they see a flash of green lights spiraling above them, accompany by a dendro crystalflies that somehow gathered into their tired body. The last thing they witness is the blinding light that emanates light and warmth. 〈ENDS HERE〉
So what I have in mind regarding this lore is that the reader is the forgotten guardian of the Ancient Liyue and was one of the characters that involves in a battle on the depths of the Chasm along with Bosacius. At the part of where they almost slip into consciousness, the Dendro archon saved them from the brink of death and gave them a decent life at her land.
Centuries later, the reader had lost their memories so they forgot who they are and what’s there purpose. living in Sumeru was nothing but walk in a park (I think…) and working as an adventurer was certainly enjoyable (Again, I think..) and happily in a relationship with the notorious General Mahamatra and the infamous Forest Ranger. Whenever the reader has a commission on Liyue, they can’t help but to feel the nostalgic sensation they were having, and droplets of tears rolling down to their face, especially standing in the platform of the Cinnabar cliff where they capture the colorful scenery of the Chasm. They wanted to know what’s their connection to the place but for now, they let it be.
CYLOU + POLY ; The Peacock’s Acceptance and Attachment
⌲Before the forbidden Knowledge has bestow upon the people in the desert, the Dendro archon, the scarlet king, the priest, and the familiar were once lived in a temperance life. Adding the lore of Cyno being the incarnation of the Scarlet king’s Priest, I would like to say the reader IS the Dendro archon’s loyal familiar or servant like Yea Miko to Ei, and instead of a kitsune I would vision the reader to be peacock. I like to add greek mythology in Sumeru because I’m sucker for greek myths. (Additionally: The reader's vision is Dendro, in their hybrid of peacock form, their tail that seems to have a hundreds eyes, in Greek mythology they say that Ardus was blessed with the eyes so that they could spy on Zeus and his fellow mistresses. So I inflict this mythology to the reader's power. By protecting the land of Knowledge, they know what comes around the land with the power they hold.)
So, the priest and the reader are lovers bounded with eternal love and adoration between them. However, fate has been cruel to them. During the time where the scarlet king brought the forbidden knowledge, and the dendro archon sacrificed herself, the priest was cursed with reincarnation and the reader is cursed with immortality (As if they are not immortal in the first place) Their romance tragedy is similar to Meliodas and Elizabeth from Seven deadly sins. The reader was ecstatic that their lover has been reincarnated but sad at the same time that their memories has been wiped, but they can make it effort to remember them.
As centuries pass, the reader is forced to watch their lover wither away from their hands and awoken again from the ashes, and the cycle of tragedy goes on. Like a phoenix is you may think. But then, when the priest reincarnated to Cyno’s era, the reader wanted to see him and hold them tight in their embrace, but as they were they caught the moment where Cyno and a red-headed dancer made an intimacy behind the stage of the Grand bazaar.
The reader was heartbroken and relief at the same time. Heartbroken that their (ex?)-lover was embracing another person’s body instead of theirs, and relief that Cyno can live peacefully with someone who can goes into the path of mortality, unlike them, who is immortal. Coming back to their home with hard grief still lingers in their heart, they decided to take a hundreds years of sleep just like what Barbatos did back then. Only time will tell when they’ll return.
Unbeknownst to the reader is that whenever Cyno is having his time with Nilou, he felt his heart tugged in shame and regret as if the whole ordeal with her was wrong, and whenever he stare at Nilou in a trance, a different face came to his mind. A familiar and intense feeling rose from his chest.
Timeskip after the archon quest, imagine the story quest with Nahida (Not a leak tho) that she recollects her time from many years ago that she has a loyal and benevolent familiar who serves her wholeheartedly at her time as lady Rukkhadevata. She wanted the traveler and her to travel into the depths of the desert to seek her dearest friend and revive them from their slumber. And then as they exited the Caravan Ribat, they met Cyno and Nilou who went on a date. Deciding to travel with the traveler and the archon to seek their purpose.
Few desert later, they were standing on a temple with peacock motifs and designs engraving in all the walls of the ancient and holy temple of the archon’s familiar. Doing some craze-shit ritual and magically awaken the reader from their slumber. Looking from their surroundings, their heart squeezed in happiness and sadness. They were happy to see Nahida, no matter what form or shape that their archon takes, they’ll always adore them no matter what. They are also sad that they get to see Cyno holding Nilou in a protective manner, the same way he did in the past time with the reader.
TIMESKIP AGAIN-Ever since the reader is awoken, they were hanging out with them mostly the traveler and Nahida. Despite being in a relationship, Cyno can’t stop his heart beating so abnormally fast, he felt his whole world spinning. Although, it would destroy his principle as a loyal boyfriend to Nilou, he knows how much she loves him as much as he loves her. But something about the reader makes his body lit into a flaming passion. UGH-He can’t think straight.
During Cyno is having his inner crisis, Nilou experience the same thing, except the whole reincarnation ordeal. Nilou is having an intense crush on the reader despite being in a relationship with the general mahamatra and even tho she hadn’t done anything, she felt as if she’s committing a crime. As the two lovers confronted this matter, they wholeheartedly accept that they have intense sentiments towards the reader. Few days, the reader had noticed the two lovers have been acting strangely towards them and can’t help but felt bad and decided to leave them. But they (tenderly)-pursue the reader to hang with them.
TIMESKIP-An unnamed festival held in Sumeru city that celebrates the birth of the Archon’s benevolent familiar (IDK AT THIS POINT 🥲) which is the reader’s birthday and Cyno and Nilou planned to confess to them at the starry night during the week of the festival. It caught the reader surprise, as much they wanted to say yes a part of them was hesitant for some reason. The response the lovers received was time. The reader wants time to processes the confession because it was so confusing(?). Since the two lovers are mortals (even tho Cyno will be reincarnated again) while they are immortal, its impossible to love them when they are in a relationship. The modern doings are such a confusing endeavor (Reader is a BOOMER). Only time will tell. (I’m sucker for angst with happy endings ❤️)
This scenarios has been bugging me through the day. I hope this doesn’t bore you 🥹 And once again have a great time!

You have a great mind, holy crap, that is a lot! Also very ironic since I was writing for the next chapter of the Mirage series when you came! I like the idea of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata saving the half-adeptus definitely, I also love to think that to help them heal, they were placed in a long sleep. Since the chasm also connects to Sumeru, I think the dendro archon helped them as thanks for also fending off the creatures from her land <33
What if tales from the forest folk were made about them? Ohh what if the Valuka Shuna race were tending to their sleeping form back then? Perhaps Tighnari may have an idea on their connection to the Chasm tho not clearly, I think that kindness of the Dendro Archon, their people and Sumeru itself made the Reader feel quite at home in that region.
As for the Cylou one hhhh I'm a sucker for reincarnation arcs but I feel like Nilou is left out too much. How about we borrow from the previous brainrot with Vagabond anon and interchange Rukkhadevata blessing Kasala and Reader's love to the Goddess of Flowers instead? Like the Goddess had feelings for them too and had always wanted to be with them but she couldn't per lore matters, while the familiar and priest had always adored from afar since they're just mortals then?
You could also change the festival to them being officially appointed as Nahida's new right hand man just like Setaria was to Azar. I don't have many thoughts here since you already put a lot of great details here! But the boomer reader is so cute, I think the fun thing to come out of it is Cyno and Nilou showering them with love to get them to open up to the idea. Familiar reader must be touch starved, use it as an advantage!
