I broke up with Lauren. I've been unhappy for years with her selfish behavior regarding living space, finances, shared food, sex, distribution of chores. Things I've had so many honest conversations about, but still continued until I just stopped saying anything. And now all I can think about is how I've hurt this sweet girl who tried so very hard to learn about my mental illness and parent our child and adjust to my past postpartum and inability to care and cook for myself. But she couldn't do it without sighing heavily, being rude or dramatic when asked for help. I don't know. I just don't know. I love her as family and a friend but I don't know about romantically. I think that's dead. I've been recoiling when she touches me or tries to kiss me for months. What does that say? But I hurt her. I crushed her. And I wish I could comfort her but that's ridiculous.
How do you feel about talking to the kids about polyamory?
