I absolutely adore your writing never stop đ can you do one where the reader faints after seeing a spirt in the house?
"The Broken Wife"

Warnings: violent haunting, panic/fainting, emotional distress.
The farmhouse had been quiet for decades, tucked deep in the countryside. At least, thatâs what the neighbors said when they begged the Warrens to come. A family had abandoned it years ago, vanishing in the middle of the nightâclothes still in the dressers, food left rotting on the table. No one dared step foot inside since.
You should have been afraid, but standing beside Ed and Lorraine made you braver. They were your anchor in all thingsâtheir love steady, unshakable even when they were knee-deep in shadows most people couldnât name.
Ed rested a protective hand on your shoulder before pushing open the heavy front door. âStay close to us, sweetheart. You donât have to prove anything here.â
You offered a shaky smile, determined to help, to stand with them. âIâm not letting you face this alone.â
Lorraine glanced back at you, her pale eyes softening. Her fingers brushed yours, a brief tether. âThen we face it together.â
The house welcomed you with silence. Not the kind of silence that feels restful, but the kind that hums in your earsâalive, waiting. The air reeked of damp wood and something sweeter, rotten, like flowers left too long in water.
Edâs lantern cast long shadows against the walls. Lorraineâs gaze was far away, seeing more than you could. You followed, each creak of the floorboards loud under your feet.
Thatâs when you saw it.
At the end of the hallway, a figure lingered in the dark.
Its body was brokenâneck twisted, arms dangling, bones jutting at sharp, impossible angles. Every step it took toward you cracked and popped like splintering wood.
Your chest seized. You couldnât breathe. You couldnât even speak.
And then its eyesâblack pits, bottomless, furiousâfixed on you.
It lunged.
The hallway stretched like a nightmare, the walls bending in, the lantern light sputtering out. Its scream was silent but rattled through your bones, pressing until your knees buckled.
Darkness swallowed you whole.
----
When you woke, warmth anchored you. Ed was holding you against him, kneeling on the floor, his face pale but set in grim determination. His hand cradled your cheek, thumb stroking absently as if to coax you back.
âY/N. Youâre safe. Iâve got you.â His voice was rough, urgent.
Lorraine was beside you, clutching your hand so tightly you felt her nails press into your skin. Her other hand was flat against the floor, trembling faintly. Her eyes shone with the terrible knowledge of what sheâd seen.
âIt wasnât just any spirit,â she said, her voice breaking the silence. âThis house belonged to the Callahans. The husband died here⌠hanged in the barn. But that wasnât what I saw.â Her gaze flicked to you, solemn. âWhat came for you was the wife. She broke her neck falling down those stairs after⌠after he drove her to it. Her rage⌠itâs kept her here.â
You swallowed hard, the image of the twisted figure burned into your mind. âSheâshe looked right at me.â
Edâs jaw tightened. He pressed his forehead briefly to yours, grounding you. âSheâs not going to touch you. Not while weâre here.â
Above you, the ceiling groaned. Heavy, deliberate footsteps dragged across the boardsâpacing. Waiting.
Lorraine closed her eyes, whispering, âShe knows youâre ours. And she doesnât like it.â
The air dropped colder. Your breath fogged. Somewhere in the dark, a laughâwet, brokenâechoed down the hall.
You shivered, clinging tighter to both of them. But with Edâs strength around you and Lorraineâs calm presence steadying your hand, you reminded yourself of the truth that had carried you this far:
No matter how dark the house became, you were never going to face it alone.
