Was at a polyamory discussion group the other week and someone said something like "my partners make fun of me for constantly being in a state of falling in love with someone" and hearing the chorus of "same"s and "I feel that"s across the room was validating. It's like when my ex said "you have so much love to give" as we were breaking up. Or my friend calling me "the most romantically-horny person" they've ever met.
Being polyamorous I think is the most Booboo the Fool-ified identity you could possibly have because whatever person you date first is not going to want you to be with someone else (let alone be with you AND someone else 24/7), and thereās a reason they call thirds Unicorns because Iām convinced they donāt fucking exist. Iām so sad and butthurt and just feel gross and lonely because even though I HAVE a partner interested in being polyamorous with me, no one wants to be in our relationship. My dream of having a TF2 8-player snuggle bed is just not happening and I feel myself longing for it worse and worse evry day.
I need people to know that for some of us being polyamorous is not a choice, but practice polyamory is.
Itās like we donāt choose to be bisexual, but we can choose to date different genders.
Some of us are inherantly polyam. It is tied into our gender, our sexuality, even our mental illnesses. We can choose monogamy and still be polyamorous.
To BE polyamorous is not a choice, but you can choose to practice polyamory.

Polyamory Problems (but not really)
Polyamory is fantastic in that, when I skype my partner his husband is always there. They are the cutest fucking pair you will ever meet.
Polyamory is also frustrating because I am 2,200 km away and all I want when I see them together is to join in the cuddles and good times.
Someone save me!! Quarantine is endless and I wanna be with my babies.
