My main reason for going to this year’s Polyestival was the opportunity to finally see Rolf Hansen with his project Il Tempo Gigante again.
The first time I got to see him was almost six years ago at the very first Melodica Festival Berlin. The whole (packed) room was blown away by his music and the way he used his loop station. Not in order to show off but in order to slowly build up a soundscape.
So it was wonderful to watch it happen again, in front of a (mostlly) attentive audience.
