okay so basically is it well-written? Is he a loving father? Is his wife(?) written as an actual character and not as Hawkeye's Wife?

Keeping in mind that everything in this movie is ... fast. Not because it is badly written, but simply because there is only so much time. Taking that into account, I think it is very well done. More time was spend on them and on Clint and Laura than I thought they would and Clint is an absolutely loving Dad and husband. Laura is, obviously, quite in the background but in a good way. She seems to me, to be a strong, calming presence that, come to think of it, is really very chill about suddenly having a bunch of superhumans eating empty their fridge. She encourages Clint and his Avenging and seems to be incredibly well informed about what is going on in Clints life. So much so, that Tony is so mock-hurt (or, well, probably actually hurt but ya know how Tony is) about it, that he comments on her knowing about them and what they do and what is going and he, well, doesn’t know who she is.

oh my god okay so I'm like the opposite of excited I'm like vehemently opposed to the clint w/ family storyline so like can u tell me if it's still worth watching please I need someone to convince me to walk into the theater on the 2nd

Depends on the reason why you’re opposed to it? It seemed weird to me first, too. But I ended up reeeally liking it. Even stormxpadme, who was a lot more anti than me, ended up liking it. Without knowing why you dislike it so much already, I really don’t know how else to make you love it? :(

They did ... parts of it? So far, Clint has a farm and a family, both of which are great and really make his character better and more important to the team. He is amazingly put together for a guy that still takes a nap first thing after the big fight for his life, cracks untimely jokes, breaks his farming equipment and doesn’t know how to put it back together and apparently is unable to fucking stick with his renovation projects (and yammers Nat’s ear off about them FOR EVUR!). He is the fucking heart of this team, in a lot of ways, and his family is a big part of that.

Other than that? No idea if they plan to stick with the rest of the ultimates storyline.
