Daily Random Question Time: What do you like most about your hometown?

Um. It’s beautiful. It’s an absolutely gorgeous town. It’s a mix of old and new and it’s beautiful to walk around :) There are loads of events taking place, especially during summer, so you never get bored. And the mountains are near, which is the best :)

Daily Random Question Time: I've written over 700 reviews on games, books, movies, etc. in essay format, but I have zero experience with doing video reviews. I tend to look horribly awkward in front of the camera (judging by my selfie >_>) and my voice is pretty bad. What advice can you give to me and any other fledgling video reviewer?

I think that I’ve done maybe one or two video reviews per se, most of my videos deal with bookworm issues and wrap ups, in which I tend to not talk about the books in an organized manner :D Translated: I ramble a lot.
It’s all about confidence, really. If you think you look bad or sound bad, that’s how it’ll always look to you, and to others, and you’ll never get anywhere. I was terrified when I first started doing videos. TERRIFIED. I thought people would laugh at me, I was self conscious, I thought it would be a disaster. But I kept going. My videos aren’t great, they’re crap, if you judge them by booktube standards, but I’m having fun with them and that’s what I always tell people: find the fun part in what you’re doing and focus on it :) Confidence builds in time.
As for reviewing:
* make a plan of what you want to say and stick to it. It’ll help you ramble less, repeat yourself - it will generally help keep you on track. It’s the same as writing a review, only that instead of writing it, you’re speaking about it. * keep it concise and on point; make sure you cover the important aspects, as well as your personal opinion* think of it as speaking with friends - allow your reactions to shine through, don’t hold yourself back* try and keep the videos on the medium side, length wise; don’t make them too long, because people might lose interest* haaaaveeee fuuuuuun

Well, aside from Romanian, I’m fluent in English and Spanish :)I also know a tiiiiiny smidgen of German. And I can recognize words in French.
I’d love to be able to speak German properly. I’ve studied it for 7 years, but nothing stuck with me haha :D
