am wondering!! any valentines plans with the guys?
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ASK!!! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
While boys don't really like Valentine's days (too salty from being miserable and single for way too long), I think, with Yakko around, they'd find new ways to enjoy the day!!
Yakko is not big on this particular festivity either (he's kinda aromantic and whatnot) (baby, what IS love?), but he really loves cooking and baking! Given he really struggles to show his appreciation unless prompted to, any excuse is good enough for him to prepare something tasty for the people he most cares about the most. That's his love language... Acts of service cooking.
He bakes cookies and makes homemade chocolates with funny molds, such as stars, cute animals or flowers ^^ but also little dicks. That's what they're getting if they piss him off. Karamatsu got the Ds this year.
In any case, all six get a cute little bag of chocolates in any variety of shapes every time, anything but hearts though... Except for a select few individuals who DO get little hearts!!!!!
Osomatsu was the first to get hearts. He's been getting hearts from Yakko for a few years now, but thinks absolutely nothing of it because he somehow believes it's just a friendly gesture from him (they're stuck on situationship hell for a million years).
This year is no different. Yakko, painfully unsubtle of his preferences, seeks his depressed ass out to give him his respective bag of homemade chocolates, which he happily devours without thinking too much about it at all. Somehow, despite receiving chocos from him every year since he came back to town, it still surprises him to get any at all! That's probably because Yakko gives everybody their gifts before going to him.
Since neither are the romantic/cheesy type, they don't do much else other than hang out or go out to drink, usually in group with the rest of the brothers.
In general, Yakko doesn't do anything over the top, he much prefers to spend the day with his bros and have a chaotic sleepover at the end of the day.
Choromatsu is (canonically) the only other person who gets heart chocos, a more recent development in their relationship may I add, and he does NOT missing the signs. In fact, Choro might be getting too many signs. The guy is a bit delusional. So he interprets most of everything Yakko does for him as romantic, even when he's just being friendly... It's an issue. This time, however, he's correct to assume Yakko wants his company!
He actually cares a LOT for dates and cheesy gestures, and is not above whining and begging and dragging Yakko (he lets him) around town to have some time of their own. Others may or may not try to tag along, out of sheer pettiness, but it's usually allowed because they just do otaku shit together or go to a Nyaa-chan concert (that woman is capitalizing on her fans' loliness on valentine's day and honestly. More power to her. Nyaa-chan knows exactly who she is her target audience LMAO).
More special than the day itself, are the days before... Because he's (just slightly) more prepared and reliable, Choromatsu gets to go shopping with Yakko to get the ingredients, and, the exact day before, he has Osomatsu come over to his shitty little apartment to bake and prepare the chocos for everybody...
Boy, that man is a COMPLETE MESS of himself and the kitchen, and needs to be watched over like a child, but Yakko doesn't mind at all, it's quality time! Oso wasn't very enthusiastic about it at first, but now it's something he looks forward to every year.
This way, he evenly spends his time with both Oso and Choro, even when it's not really possible on Valentine's day itself... Smart guy.
For the polymatsu route, he'd instead make a giant bag of sweets and homemade goods, as well as plenty heart chocos, for the guys to share. The first time he ever did that, the poor guy got hunted for sport next White Day. Something, something, they wanted to "properly repay his generosity". It was complete chaos. 34 hurt, 12 dead.
Nowadays, I think they'd go out and have a cute little picnic together to celebrate... With food everybody helped prepare the previous day! Two full days of Yakko's undivided attention... It might be heaven for the polymatsu crew.
Everybody else in the canon story gets situationship hell forever.
