you are SOOOOO GOOD at character dialogue every single spoken work ( ESPECIALLY scout and medic) is SOOOO in character it feels like its straight from the comics

It's a little funny, though, because I think my Medic is a good deal more level-headed and compassionate than canon Medic! He can certainly turn on the crazy when he wants to, but he can also turn it off when needed. I think this tracks with the fact that I'm envisioning Medic a bit older, too; he's in his fifties for PolyMerc Propaganda, while most people seem to think canon Medic is likely in his forties. And this characterization just works better for the story I'm trying to tell vs the canon story, which is significantly sillier lol.
At the end of the day, I think perfect canon accuracy isn't necessarily the most important factor, anyways--if everything had to be perfectly canonical, then fanfic wouldn't exist, would it? I think what's more important is that the character is *believable* and *interesting.* My Medic may not be exactly like canon Medic, but he is a *verisimilitudinous* Medic. (There's your word of day right there: "a plausible appearance of real.") And if people like to read about him, then I think that's what really matters.
But rest assured, I have plenty more in store for these goobers lol. I love writing them, and I love it when people love reading about them! And I'm excited for more, too ❤️
