My history of earrings. The IPCA Zoom challenge is to create something with polymer clay with "something you have never tried, in technique you have never tried, in a theme you have never tried." It's a personal challenge. I thought it might be interesting to focus on earrings I've made over the years to see how they have evolved. I made these earrings with Sculpey Shapelets, translucent clay, acrylic paint, tls and embossing powders. I used the same technique for the surface decoration on my vessels that appear in Ellen Marshall's book Polymer Clay Surface Design Recipes which came out in 2005. I got the idea for the overall shape design from @patti_underwood_art, who gave me a lovely pair of earrings at @clayathon. My plan is to post pictures of my earrings over the years and end up with showing my current work which involves new techniques and materials. #theipca #polymerclay #polymerclayearring #polymwerclaytechniques #handmadeearrings https://www.instagram.com/p/ChSRAp-uXLK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
