Ethereum has been a widely used blockchain platform for years due to its secure network. However, it still needs to address the issue of scalability. In response to Ethereum’s scalability issues, Polygon was born as an L2 solution that enables developers to build dApps on Ethereum without inheriting its limitations.
This year saw more and more artists embracing elements of noise, and taking fuzzed-out textures to a new, more melody oriented zone. In that vein, D.C. outfit Polyon takes a wall-of-sound approach to post-punk, throwing heavy vocal hooks over gritty, spacious accompaniments. “Blue” is the first single from the band latest EP, titled Blue EP, on Funny/Not Funny Records. The track crashes in big, works its way through full-bodied verses and closes in a hush of feedback. From a statement from the band, the song’s video seeks “to convey a steadfastness in identity among the faces presented throughout. As our worlds challenge us in different ways and throw us into spinning vortexes we 'know who we are.' But, at times, learning that lesson can mean exercising demons.” Blue EP is out now via Funny/Not Funny Records.
