How the hell did I get to the point to where I'm taking 14 different medications every day? I'm only 28.
All of these are under the advice of various doctors and hospitals.
All of the conditions I'm being treated for are "functional" disorders like IBS, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, insomnia, things of that nature.
5 of those depress the Central Nervous System, so I'm super tired all the time. Yet somehow I have a hard time sleeping. I mean, technically I shouldn't be alive with the combination of pills I take.
I'd love to come off of them, but I don't have the energy to deal with withdrawal effects. Because of course I'm on at least three different pills that come with that added bonus.
Like, I'd love to get off of Paxil and Anafranil because they're doing exactly zero for me except give me side effects, but I don't want to go through the difficult and extended withdrawal periods.
At the very least, I've managed to avoid neuroleptics and opioid pain medications, so I've got that going for me.
