Saddled bichir (Polypterus endlicheri)

hello! yes this is from animal crossing but saddled birchir please? i love the prehistoric look of them. in fact ive noticed the large, ancient fish hang out at the mouth of the river in the middle of the year.
I love bichirs! All kinds! They look so cool! If I had a HUGE freshwater tank I’d totally want one of these duds! They’re like mini sea monsters!
Saddled Bichir
(Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri)
is a species of fish in the family Polypteridae (Bichirs) found in most of Africa from Cameroon to the Central African Republic. They are fairly big fish and can grow up to 30 in long and are similar to lungfish in that they have crude lungs and similar pectoral fins, but they have no relation to Sarcopterygii at all. They are also a popular aquarium fish.
