2020 Pinch Hitter Signups
To sign up as a pinch hitter just send us a message (either on Tumblr, through the Discord Server, or at [email protected]) with the following:

Whether you are over 18 (this will just determine whether you can pinch hit derse prompts—if you’re under 18 you can still sign up! you’ll just be restricted to prospit prompts)

Updates; Signup Extension (May 6th)
Good news, mods made an error in assumption news!
So the error news: We're sorry, y'all. We fucked up.
We assumed that everyone was operating on our definition of Homestuck specific and What Pumpkin bodies of property, which was definitely a mistake, because this shit and all of our approaches to interacting with it? Individualistic as HELL.
reasons why we may have fucked up:
there's a lot going on right now
there's been a lot going on most of the year
there is SO MUCH MORE potential Homestuck than there was a year ago (what the fuck we started during some kind of pause didn't we?? where did this all come from)
last year our biggest concern was the Epilogues and interaction therewith
we got way too used to the cushy and lawless territory of the promptfest
there's...a lot going on right now
Our approach, based on checking last year's records, has been to ask people to leave an out in case someone could definitely go for these prompts but wasn't ready to do it in an Epilogue, Candy, or Meat setting, our reasons being that not everyone had read them and that not everyone who wanted to participate in Polyswap had intended to.
Going forward, our approach is going to be thus:
Non-HS1 prompts all operate on the 1:2 ratio, BUT
HS^2 and Epilogue related prompts have the option of being "Schrödinger's Prompt", where you indicate that you would be okay with things being post OR pre the end of HS1, leaving your gifter an out to use. In this case, you could have more than the 2/6 prompts required, though we might ask you to shift things around depending on how liminal the prompt set is or isn't. If you're worried, contact us and we'll check your prompts!
NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS! Extra time to sign up for everyone!!
Things have definitely changed, and as such, our intentions were probably not as clear as we assumed they would be—with that in mind, we'll update the relevant info where we can update it, and if anyone wants to make any changes or withdraw from the swap because of it, that's fine and we'll leave signups open to May 6th to allow that.
(note: AO3 will Not let us update anything to do with the challenge now that there are signups in it, but we'll put a note in the Collection FAQ and update the Signup Guide and Rules document)
UPDATES TIME
Polyswap Signups open on Sunday. We were absolutely not kidding about Real Soon.
The taglist should be up by Saturday. We’ll have links to it basically everywhere.
Rules will be updated to reflect some new changes, such as:
No participants discord this year, but the Screaming Server’s going to shift into functioning as a PSWAP Hub
No tag checks! We’ll expect everyone to use the tag list instead.
No requirements of M/E to G/T ratios for Derse—we’re just going to reinforce that even if a request is NSFW/E, the gift is not required to be NSFW/E.
We’re following in Drone Season’s footsteps and opening the swap up to one What Pumpkin property that’s not Homestuck (or is, if you want to ship cross-game/comic/canons) per two Homestuck requests—basically, you can have maximum one WP request and minimum two HS requests, or maximum two WP requests and minimum four HS requests.
