So, the second part of the Mortal Realm Arc of Lotus Step has been published. It is no longer updating online, so the admins who are both...uh, not living in China and therefore can’t get our hands on the book, have only been getting bits and pieces of the work through pictures from weibo. Below is an excerpt concerning the ancient gods as we know them:
The three creation gods were God Pangu, Father God and Shao Wan; The four protection gods were Mo Yuan, Mo Yuan's younger brother who as of yet had no known birth date, Xiluo in the Western Nirvana, and himself; The five nature gods were the mother of the earth, Nuwa, the light god Zuti, the fire god Xie Ming, the wind master Sejia, and the water god who had only been born in the new age, Lian Song, who was still serving his punishment under the second peak of Tiangui Mountain.
So perhaps it would be more accurate to say that Lian Song is counted among the ranks of the ancient gods in terms of powers/abilities rather than that he himself is actually...you know, Ancient (tm), but honestly the admins were just...very excited that their back and forth theorizing was proving to be some kind of valid!
