Situated by the River Po dividing the Lombardy and Emilia Romagna regions is Pomponesco, a small village with a large, late-Renaissance porticoed square. It's worth walking in and out of the arcades and looking up to see the intricate detail of the wooden beams that have lasted centuries. It's thanks to this, in part, that Pomponesco is classified as one of Italy's prettiest villages. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Sadly, very few buses pass through Pomponesco. But to get there, catch the 16A bus from Mantua heading for Viadana, run by 'APAM'. Alternatively, take a train from Parma or Brescia to Casalmaggiore, then catch the K201 bus to Viadana with 'Arriva' and get on another bus for Pomponesco with 'APAM'. ______________________________________ #Pomponesco #VivoMantova #VolgoMantova #InLombardia #Lombardy #Lombardia #IgersLombardia #Italia #Italy #ILikeItaly #VisitLombardia #VisitItaly #DiscoverItaly #BorghiItaliani #BorghidItalia #BorghiPiuBellidItalia #Borghi_World #BorghiAutentici #NeverStopTravelling #Alluring_Italy #Portici #BrowsingItaly #CharmingItaly #BestDestinations #BestPlacesToGo #CondeNastTraveller #TravelItaly #VacanzeItaliane #APAM #Architecture (at Pomponesco) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSOjh-tIpoB/?utm_medium=tumblr
