I've been scouring the world for a cute, vintage looking pair of slippers, but kept coming up empty. Eventually I decided to make my own. I came across a pattern from knitwits heaven called pocket book slippers. It was a common way to knit slippers back in the day since they stretch so much, and since they look like little purses they can fit inside each other for storage or travel. I thought they were ridiculous. I had to make them. I used Lion Brand Vanna's choice in silver heather and a mystery white sparkle yarn from my stash for the pom pom (my own addition). I made both slippers in an afternoon, and decided to make them non-slip with some hot glue dots (you can see it in the second image). I've been wearing them all around my apartment, which is in a basement so its mostly tile. I absolutely love them and want to make a million more pairs in every color.
