The world is going mad, so I'm logging off for a few weeks. I'll be in my garden where I find my peace. Wishing you all the best with your operation and look forward to hearing it was a success. Hello Pond anon

I don't blame you, part of the reason I blog every little inane thing that comes to mind is to keep my brain occupied

You know my muffins never look the prettiest but damn do they taste good 😊

Here's today's haul:

Chocolate Choc-chip Black Forest, Apple and Cinnamon, Buttercake Blueberry, with Cheesy Herb and Garlic Scones

They're cooling at the moment, later it will all be bundled up and put into the freezer for storage

With my surgery coming up in the next few weeks I'm trying to prep my meals and other snacks in advance so that all I have to do is put something into the microwave to heat it up

My surgery is literally going to require the re-breaking of the bone in my wrist joint as well as some plates and screws so I'm going to be back having my arm in a sling for the first couple of weeks while the bone heals in the correct position

I don't actually know if the screws and plates are going to be permanent or whether I'm going to have to have a second shorter surgery to have them removed but they might be permanent, I'm not sure

I'm lucky I own a bread maker that can do all of the dough stirring for me when it comes to the scones as I don't have the strength in my left arm to be able to knead it manually

I was going to make some of my grandma's soda biscuits today as well, but my arm muscle is starting to complain so I think that's enough for the day

I've slowly been sorting out as much yard work as possible, albeit slowly and one handed, and doing the extra cleaning and tidying that I don't normally do on a weekly basis a little time because it may be a much longer amount of time until I can do it again

Just waiting for the laundry to dry and then I'm going to take a nap
