Animatic Breakdown Thing
All right, I feel like making a quick tutorial of i make/come up with animatics.
Step 1: I listen to a song or something.
Step 2: An idea comes to mind. (This could be switched, depending on circumstances).
Optional Step 3: Make a quick script and get ideas down. A short example...

INT. PENNY’S HOUSE, LIVING ROOM (THE CAMERA pans in on a karaoke session with PENNY and HB. It is already HB‘s turn, and he’s doing fairly well with his performance of “Walking in the Sand”. He tackles the song’s bridge with expectedly synthesized, but engaged vocals.)
(HB)
Whatever happened to
the boy that I once knew?
The boy that said would be true?
(After a surprise riff at the end, he jumps into the chorus with a fitting look of realization on his face. His voice dips even lower than usual as he covers his face with his free hand.)
(HB)
Oh no
Oh no
Oh no no no noo...
(PENNY turns on her phone and stops the instrumental.)
(Penny)
What’s wrong? I thought you did great!
(HB)
I’m positive that last set of notes wasn’t supposed to be there.
[FADE TO BLACK. END OF EXAMPLE SCENE.]

Step 4: Now would be the longest part - actually drawing. By the way, I usually do a rough sketch before Doing the finished line art. Unlike most [I’m assuming here], I like to draw a few frames and then sync them up to the audio. This is why I take a while posting anything of this sort. Well, that and motivation/life...
Step 5: Finally edit, post the thing, and relax for a bit.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this quick insight. This was really just an excuse to write that HB scene because of a talk box cover., but all right.
