"Is the Internet real?" James asked. - I looked up from my phone. "What do you mean?" - "Like, does it reflect what's real? Or is it just a great parody, all of us acting out what we think reality should be?" James brushed dirt off his feet. - "Reality is a difficult proposition." I answered. "Because we never know what it actually is. We just know what we think it is. You can ask what happened, but there's never a right answer." - "So what does that mean for the Internet?" - "Well." I paused. " I guess it's just as real as any piece of history or any work of fiction or any story we've ever told our mothers over the dinner table. It's just as real as anything else."
