As a child, these were my homies xD

And of course, I liked their outfit choices. I called them spiffy. Pong Ping was my favourite character; he was a Pekingese with a pet dragon, and I swear going through these books as a preschooler started my fascination with China: the dynasties, the ancient philosophers, Penjing (penzai), Chinese mythology, and so much more.
