Songs I love in My Little Pony G1 🌈

How Does My Garden Grow? : sung by Posey, such a gorgeous song about my little pony's favorite plant mum!!! She loves those plants more than life itself and cares for them oh so so much 🌷

All Wrong - All Right : sung by Baby Shady and Mollie, a sweet comforting song about how nobody is perfect and it's okay if Shady makes a few mistakes here and there and is a little bit clumsy. I love the two of them so much in this song they're so sweet and make me realize I don't have to be perfect either! I'm still all right :)

I'll Go It Alone : sung by Baby Lickety-Split and Spike, if you haven't already I highly suggest you watch the video for the song! The song is very cute but Baby Lickety is goofy (in the best way possible!)

We're Not Gonna Freeze : sung by Galaxy, ooh the amount of determination with this song !!! She's so courageous and inspiring, it's no wonder Surprise was able to cross the frozen rainbow to go get Megan! I love Galaxy so much.

Being Somebody Else : sung by Fizzy, Windwhistler, Gusty and Shady, this song is just super fun!!! It's very cool to see the ponies with their personalities reversed (especially seeing Windwhistler different!) it's the type of song that just fills me with glee and makes me smile!

Those Newborn Twins : sung by the First Tooth Baby Ponies and Spike, silly little song where they are being FAR too mean to those poor little newborn twins (but it's okay because they save them in the end) I just think the First Tooth Ponies are so so cute ESPECIALLY QUACKERS!!!! Her little quack is so adorable!!!!

the curious case of teddy and sweetheart 🧸🩷

teddy and sweetheart are an interesting couple in my little pony tales, i see some people say they are a toxic couple and other's say they're sweet.

teddy is depicted as a bully and often is the antagonist to the main 7 ponies of my little pony tales, but he's also shown to have a much sweeter side and sleeps with his teddy bear every night (a secret only sweetheart knows about) I think teddy as a character is so interesting! there's speculation in the fandom regarding his parents, as only his mother is ever heard, and theories on whether his behavior results from an absent father.

sweetheart is well, a complete sweetheart. she has a crush on teddy and is referred to as teddy's girlfriend in Blue Ribbon Blues. she sees the best in him and knows that he often acts out (and also isn't afraid to tell him he's being wrong) but believes his acting out is just that, acting out. the song she sung about him in Stand By Me explains it well the others simply just don't know him like she knows him.

i think teddy and sweetheart are a perfect couple, sweetheart doesn't make teddy better she makes him want to be better. i really do think teddy has underlying issues that were never explored in the show that make him act the other way - but regardless im glad that he has sweetheart to love and support him.

i think it's super interesting that my little pony tales had such a complex male character when male characters barely existed (with the exception of Danny and Spike) in generation 1 and even in friendship is magic the male characters are mostly just used to fuel the female characters story arcs - not as a stand alone complex character like teddy is.
