I did start writing a short fic with some of my pony characters (including these two). I just haven't finished it yet. I've been in a weird state with writing in general, and I really want to get out of that rut. Angel absolutely would be an alicorn. Similarly to Princess Cadance, he is a pegasus who ascended to becoming an alicorn. However, he's still not fully certain if his transformation is "real" or "deserved". Basically, I imagine he ascended to alicornhood when Discord was initially freed and he temporarily put Equestria into chaos. It was the freest Angel ever felt in his structured, stuffy lifestyle coming from his family who are Canterlot aristocrats. He got his cutie mark when he became an alicorn. I imagine it's to represent breaking down walls and the love of freedom-- but also of justice and fairness. Problem is that his magic is chaos magic and he has no idea how to control it. His former name was Angel Glory, though he changed it to Angel Featherfluff. Hasn't fully decided his name though. Mythic Glory, his father, is a unicorn. His mother, Ivory Glory (previously Ivory Lovelock), is a pegasus. Goldfeather Gleam is his paternal cousin. Regulus will get a pony equivalent when I get around to it. I have drawn Penelope as a pony before. Specifically-- the Keyblade Ponies equivalent of Origin Penelope (as this was before she had a proper Kingdom Hearts equivalent). However, Astral Starlight here is the pony equivalent of Penelope Browne from my Gods AU. Her being an earth pony in account of her background instead of an alicorn made more sense. Her mother was a unicorn, and Royalberry Blitz is Astral Starlight's cousin paternally. She's an astronomer and space photographer whose work tends to be looked down upon and disregarded because she's an earth pony. She's a lot of a workaholic and somewhat of a hermit who wants to prove herself to the world. Astral can see into the future before danger happens, though she doesn't have control of when or how this occurs. Also Omelet had to be a talking pigasus. He couldn't be anything but a talking pigasus. I imagine he gained the ability to talk from Angel's chaos magic. Pigs are kept around for their ability to find truffles in Equestrian society if I recall correctly though, and they're not really on the same level ponies or cows are as an example.
