trick or treat. i am obviously dressed as Michelle Ann Duff, Canadian GP racer
1962 Yamaha RD56
To compliment your costume, of course.
slightly inspired by dappled horses and pigeons , wasn’t she called Ditsy Doo at some point? I always thought that was a cute name for her
coming out the other side of the project, do you have anything to say about RPG Maker?
rpg maker is way better and more versatile than people give it credit for, with a thriving community of freeware script makers that make it a really great tool for first time devs and devs who don't know much (or any) programming. i wouldn't be where i am without it, and its accessibility to "outsider artist" devs means a ton of exciting and genuinely important work has been done with the engine
i am also ready to move on to an engine that doesn't think the appropriate response to a missing texture is to make the entire game crash
I keep having this thought but forgetting to express it
so when you drew that An-2 commission, there is a schematic drawing of the An-2 alongside of it. initially I thought that was just like, reference that you pulled from somewhere. but. you drew that. like it may not be 100% exactly to scale, but it's coherent! you just casually drew a realistic aircraft, alongside the puppyplane.
like... it blows my mind. sorry for not appreciating it at the time
OOO YEAH this one. that was my first pass at trying to draw a biplane seriously, i left it in cus i thought it was goofy in a very cute way. biplanes are still kinda hard to draw but im hoping i can get better at it 💪
I wanna know more about how you feel about motorcycles. what kind of bike might you see yourself on? do you have any interest in wrenching on your own bike (assuming a situation where you had the space to do so)

The appeal of Motorcycles to me is has been about what it represents: Freedom. I grew up in an environment where I felt trapped, had to follow the script that everyone else had given me. They said they knew what's best for me, what was in store for my life, so I learned to make myself small and not want for things. I wasn't really a person or an individual for a lot of my life, just a tool for everyone else.
But I saw the types of characters in shows and games that would use Motorcycles. They were cool, tough, knew what they wanted in life, and could go anywhere they wanted. They could go fast, weren't held back by anything, dexterous and could slip through any barriers in their way. A night time drive, with nothing but them and the road, and the city scape in the background, it felt powerful and soothing all at once. An individual who could stand on their own, be the force of change they wanted in the world, and forge a life of their own choosing. There's strength in knowing that if you wanted to do something, go somewhere, you just, could.
I wanted that.
Wait, game dev? What are you up to these days?
O haha I've been dabbling in game dev stuff in my spare time... I've been taking a break from it recently cause commissions take up a lot of my energy (and unfortunately, i need money :/ )
I haven't finished anything yet but I've got a few projects that @vividropp and I have been working on, and some I've been working on solo... I do hope to continue learning more game dev stuff and finishing some of those projects soon ^^
do these two have names?
the dog is julie
the cat is jalei
