what niche facts can u share abt ur oc that maybe no one would think to ask about

ᴠɪᴠɪᴀɴ

Vivian's lightning is an entire shade darker than the main Draconia bloodline's lightning ( theirs are more of a lime/bright green while his is more of a dark/ivory green ) and the reason is due to the blot infused within his magic! The same goes for a lot of things he takes control of/produces with his power ( aka you'll be able to tell when it's him casting a spell or smth along those lines because it's typically associated with that particular shade of green! )

On the note of blot, Vivian blood looks and smells a lot like it ( because of just how much of his cells have been corroded by the blot ) so people often mistake it as him bleeding blot when it technically not the case lol-

For the most part, he smells like ink!

His father was Maleficia's cousin, making him Maleanor's first cousin once removed and Malleus's first cousin twice removed! He's also technically related to Rielle because Acting Queen Ayah's ( his elder sister ) wife is Rielle's aunt!

Just like all of Mellora's children, Vivian represents a certain period of her life! The period in question being her post-overblot!

The spell Vivian uses to bind his hair doesn't only tie it up but lightens the weight of it tremendously! On that note, his hair is heavy enough to snap his neck! ( So he can't like, hang it over a cliff or anything like that )

Out of all the knights, Vivian has the least amount of visible muscle built! Since he specializes and spams his magical attacks ( and, nowadays, is typically put on offensive defense ), he very rarely engages in physical fighting which makes him focus less on physical training compared to others.

Vivian's room is situated on the farthest side and highest part of the castle ( a reference to his character being twisted from Rapunzel ) and the room is imbued with the same spell as Mel's room. That said, it's one of the safest places in the kingdom to be during a blot-related attack!

His birthday falls on dragon day! ( Or, in other words, appreciate a dragon day! )

I took letters from the phrase "mirror image" to come up with his name!

He smells faintly of fruit because of how strong the smell of his shampoo is!

He typically applies a slightly darker shade of lipstick to his upper lip!

His idol group is inspired by F/ACE from Tamon B Side which is a play on the fact that he's literally twisted from a mirror lol-

He's strong enough to benchpress everyone in the twst cast no joke BAHAHA-

He has a birthmark! It's located on the right side of his lower back.

Like many idols, hearing one of his group's songs will make his muscle memory kick in and make him snap into whatever the choreographed dance is.

whats vivian's favorite food? least favorite?

What Vivian eats nowadays is pretty odd as he has a sensitive palette and a particular distaste for things that are overly sweet. He's fond of charred-styled, more bitter tasting meat that come from high-protein animals like grizzly bear and deer. He's also fond of many berry-like fruits like strawberries and raspberries ( especially black raspberries ).

But his favorite food overall? I'd say cricket legs and locusts drizzled in lemon juice and wrapped in finely-cooked duck skin.

His least favorite food is anything involving cake for a plethora of reasons.

Vivian says hi!!! 🥹👋

Viv's condition is basically a severe case of blot poisoning. His blood-related immediate family all suffer from the same affliction on a lesser scale as it came from their ancestor who, during a very dark time, depleted their huge magic reserve and teetered the edge of overblotting but fiercely resisted which resulted in not only a perpetual blot influx that permanently fused with their magic, but also a giant tear in their magic pool.

Because of the tear, their blot-contaminated magic was able to leak into their bloodstream and paint some cells in their body with blot as it mixed with their blood. This led to the cells that weren't affected to fight back in attempts to kill the tainted cells, starting a never-ending war inside their body. The strange phenomenon essentially created this permanent middle ground that kept them from ever overblotting ( no matter what turmoil they faced or how low their reserve got ) since their body is technically forever in a dormant version of that state, but led Vivian's og family down a long line of isolation, birth complications, premature death, extreme blot sensitivity, and many other day to day struggles ( which will only worsen if they attempt to use magic ).

For generations, his family tried to find ways to free themselves from their predicament, but as time passed, they found nothing to help them. Eventually, worry broke out that their odd ailment would taint the rest of the Draconia blood and so Vivian's parents and other immediate family were forced to flee to the farthest edges of Briar Valley where they were to essentially die out in regal agony.

Vivian has the most extreme case of his family's peculiar condition due to his mother being poisoned when she was pregnant with him ( specifically with a substance that contained blot ) and the abuse he endured from his former caretaker/kidnapper — notably the curse he put on him which rapidly aged his body.

The poison was carefully diluted when it had been knowingly given to his birth mother which is the only reason Vivian's egg survived but his mother ended up passing from the poison and Viv's egg was later retrieved and hatched with the powerful incantations of the one who kidnapped him and later took the place of his caretaker. This led to what is essentially a premature birth and caused Vivian to suffer even more because of it.

For one, Vivian was born veryyyyyy small — like the size of grown man's palm small — and very weak. His horns and wings hadn't developed yet and he didn't have the strength to move or even open his eyes. His caretaker was forced to tend to him for years before cursing him because otherwise Vivian would've instantly died.

..But when he was finally able to? He forcibly and permanently transformed him into a human and put that aging curse on his body, aging him 200+ years instantly. ( Vivian is physically older than 140, but since he was non the wiser to what had been done to him, he follows the age he would've been had he not been cursed )

The blowback of this essentially worsened his condition amongst other things ( as the rapid aging of his body ripped an even bigger hole in his tainted reserve ) and caused many anomalies for him such as his rapid ( white ) hair growth and severe horn splitting.

( If you're wondering, yes, Viv suffers from Marie Antoinette Syndrome )

There isn't currently a cure for his condition, but his current mother Mellora, has found a way to relieve him of what would otherwise be a life-threatening ailment — his giant spindle staff.

You see, Mel figured that — in theory — if there was a way to expel the tainted cells and magic, Vivian's body would allow him the chance to create more non-tainted cells and, over time, be able to fight back and even concur his condition ( at the risk of the very opposite happening and Vivian fully overblotting and instantly dying from the strain that awakening would cause him ). The best way she found to do that was by removing a certain amount of blood and magic regularly which led her to eventually making his spindle staff!

It's made with enchanted material and the spikes along the wheel were designed to easily penetrate flesh. In order to wield it, Viv has to give up certain amounts of magic and blood which is then expelled from the weapon whenever he casts a spell ( and whenever he does that, a blot crystal is made if you're wondering ).
