Bobbi doesn’t intend to fail at babysitting before she’s even begun - it’s equally important that they’re happy and that her house survives the next few days intact. She didn’t think those objectives would diverge quite so soon. Arms cross over her chest, a picture of authority. Whether the kids accept it is another thing entirely. They’re remarkably inconsistent, as far as people go. Adults are easier to manipulate. “Or we could play ‘how many objects in those backpacks could cause bodily harm and-slash-or property damage?’” She’s not going to snatch their belongings ( sneak into their room later and take a peek maybe ), but establishing some ground rules is probably a good thing.
This might be one of those occasions, Bobbi, where you have to ask yourself ‘do you really want to know the answer to that’. Cause chances are, the amount is higher than you could possibly imagine. Yes, true, Steve or Bex probably packed their backpacks, but that doesn’t mean their assorted group of ‘uncles’ didn’t sneak little things into it on their way out the door.
That was the Commando way, after all.
With a shared look, the twins open their backpacks and unceremoniously dump them out onto Bobbi’s living room floor. There’s the normal overnight things, of course -- pajamas, extra clothes, toothbrushes. There’s a Union Jack bear and a Bucky bear among Sarah’s things while a Cap Bear and one wearing a little bowler hat can be found among James’. And then there’s there’s the not so normal things -- small fireworks, permanent markers, marked cards (obvs from Dino and used to cheat at Go Fish), something that looks suspiciously like a SHIELD weapon but is hard to identify without close up inspection, and candy. Lots and lots of candy. Some of it with almost cyrillic writing on it. Bobbi can thank Wanda for that.
Now you guys can have a taste of what we felt when they fucked up Natasha's backstory. Yup. Welcome to our world.
We feel for you all ClintxBobbi fans. Know that. Sincerely, The whole BuckyNat fandom.
