I'm not always a modern AU person but I do feel that we've been deprived of a situation where Hornblower gets frustrated with Foreman (or some other poor young gentleman) then feels bad about it and tries to soften what he's saying by telling Foreman to do something "right meow."
Hornblower: I think I handled that okay. Probably.
