Edit:65 Got this inspiration from #GinAka post by @shimanamii (pic below, and no I wasn't stalking I just saw it!). It sucks man, I feel sorry for Gino.
Look at that face! Look at that goddamn face! He's so in love! Can't you see that Tsunemori!?
While I was watching the trailer for Psycho Pass 3, I noticed that this mask:
. . . is a kitsune mask, yes? Or is it a wolf? A hound? A variable canid? Makishima actually set this reference up nicely at the mid-point of season 1, didn’t he? All of the canines are coming for you, Sibyl. Block the dog-door!
(Which actually makes me scared for poor Dime.)
Anyway, I can think of one canine we know who stands a lot like the guy above.
My Dad thinks i'm gay...
Nobuchika Ginoza: My Dad think's i'm gay because i don't have a Girlfriend...
Nobuchika Ginoza: Let's prove him wro-
Tomomi Masaoka: Nobuchika. You can try to prove me wrong...
Shuusei Kagari: *not looking up from his console* But we all know the reason why you don't have a Girlfriend.
Nobuchika Ginoza: *slightly pissed* And the reason is what, Kagari?
Kuizuka Yayaoi: *silently laughing* Even Shion knows.
Karanomori Shion: *laughing her ass off*
Nobuchika Ginoza: ? What do you mean by 'even Shion knows'? What are you all talking about? I don't understand a word?!
Tomomi Masaoka & Karanomori Shion: Lets just say: 11152571139
Nonuchika Ginoza: Whats up with this number?
Everyone in Div. 1: KOUGAMI
Nobuchika Ginoza: Kou- mhh!
Shinya Kougami: *kissed Gino softly* Yes you dummy.
Everyone in Div. 1: *Cheers*
Found the phone number of an old childhood friend in some box at the back of you closet and decided to call it to see if it still worked AU Kougino?
@kagari-matoi asked for this as well.
Ginoza really thought of packing as a pain in the ass, necessary, but most definitely a pain. He knew his choice to move was a smart one, after what happened with his father. He didn’t want to be in the same city as him, no less the same household.
This would be his second last day, he was currently cleaning out the items from childhood past in his closet when he found it. And old worn out brown box with keep sakes and trading cards, and a phone number.
He remembered who’s phone number it was off the bat. How could he forget his childhood crush, his first love, which had lasted from 1st grade until the 9th, a total of 9 years.
Shinya Kougami, the raven haired boy with wolf grey eyes, the eyes Ginoza swore he saw small flecks of blue in. The boy who’d left him the year he was to begin high school.
Before he knew what he was doing, he was dialing the number.
It was absurd, he knew, for his childhood friend to have the same number that he did back in 5th grade, but he listened to the continuous ringing anyway. If anything, Kougami not answering would provide him with some closure. Then he would have no way to contact him and would never see him again, and he wouldn’t try to. He could move on with his life, like he’d neglected to all these long years.
He was thoroughly surprised, however, when he heard a deep, scruffy voice answer.
“Hello?”
The voice sounded tired, exhausted more like. The voice was far more deeper than it had been years ago, but there was no mistaking it.
The voice on the other line had to repeat himself before Ginoza shakily spoke back.
“K-kougami?”
The other end was silent, until a small mutter of recollection was heard.
“Gino?”
Ginoza wanted to yell into the line then, that he wasn’t Gino, not anymore, that he’d lost the privilege of calling him such names long ago, but he didn’t get the chance.
“Shinya, who’s that?”
The voice on the other line was high pitched, female.
Ginoza hung up then.

The truth was, he never knew when he was falling apart. You would think after all that time in therapy, the months watching his Crime Coefficient climb, the weeks in the facility, he would know when he was starting to crack.
He was an idiot, after all.
His first case back, the first time pulling the trigger as an enforcer, it had to be a Lethal Eliminator, of course it did.
Why was he shaking? He had done this so many times before.
The ground was hard and cold under his feet as he collapsed, Yayoi’s voice was kind as she asked if she could help him stand, but all he could do was stare, at the mess of blood and viscera of the person - the criminal - he had just performed enforcement on.
Was it the knowledge that it would be him someday?
“No, it won’t be,” a soft voice, not Yayoi’s, floated into his ear. Since when had Tsunemori been able to read his mind?
He turned his head slowly. She was kneeling on the cold ground next to him, the other enforcers were headed back to the paddy wagon with Mika, loading up.
“I told them to go on ahead. Mika’s going to leave a vehicle for us.”
He barely registered the words, only stared at her kind, soft eyes blankly. A part of him noticed dampness as soft drops began to fall.
“You’re going to get wet,” he spoke, finally. He moved to take off his jacket. It felt good to move, to help, as long as it was for her.
“Can you feel the rain, Gino?” She opened her palms, like a child catching a snowflake, and momentarily took her eyes from his to look up.
It wasn’t the first time she had used the nickname, but it was the first time it made his heartbeat quicken.
“You’re here, still. We’re here. I’m here, this is all real,” she looked back at him. “We get to live life. The rain helps us remember that.”
He was almost surprised when she reached up to cup his cheek. “Try not to forget that there are things worth living for.”
“I’m so weak,” he whispered.
Her eyes crinkled at the corners. “No, Gino, you’re not.” She released his cheek, took the coat he offered, and stood. “Let’s get some tea. Then we’ll take you home.”
