I think the prompt meant “multilingual” since bilingual is just two languages but oh well 8D I keep making them students for some reason. Italics and not a foreign language is assumed to be English. (The drugs made Kagami a little loose tongued XD)
Aomine looked up as the teacher slapped a handout on his desk.
“Give this to Kagami, please. He’s in the nurses office,” she said.
Aomine scowled. “Why me?” He only sat next to the guy, teased him once in a while.
She seemed a little confused. “Aren’t you his best friend? It’s more convenient this way. Anyway, class dismissed! Enjoy lunch break.” She walked off before Aomine could understand her words. He snatched the handout and grumbled on his way out into the bustling hallways.
He’d reached the door to the nurses office when he heard a commotion from inside, although he really couldn’t understand most of it.
Because most of it wasn’t in Japanese.
“You need to take it, it’s a painkiller.”
“Kuroko, bastardo! It’s your fault I’m hurt in the first place! I already took fucking painkillers! I took like fucking fifty!”
Aomine peered inside to see Kagami lying on one of the beds, a bandage wrapped around his head and a tissue held to his nose. His left forearm was also wrapped with bandages. The guy looked like he had been in an accident.
“Let me change your bandage-”
“Brûle en l’enfer! No me jodas, bastardo! You don’t know how to change shit-”
“I don’t even know what you’re saying.”
“Ouch! Stop! Don’t touch me…!” Kagami trailed off when he saw Aomine staring at him. “A-Aomine…”
Kuroko turned around. “Oh, hello Aomine-kun.”
“What happened?” Aomine swallowed, slightly scared to start Kagami’s multilingual swearing.
Kuroko shrugged. “I showed Kagami-kun a dog I had adopted. He screamed and ran straight into a pole, and then he tripped and scratched his arm on the pavement.”
Aomine snorted. “What, that’s it-?”
“Cállate,” Kagami mumbled under a light blush.
Kuroko patted Kagami on the shoulder and nodded to Aomine. “I need to go, I’ll catch you later.”
“Oi, Kuroko, where are you going, bastard!”
Aomine opened Kagami’s bag and folded the sheet, placing it inside. “Never knew you were so…well-versed.”
Kagami shrugged, wincing as he sat up straighter. “Well, in America I had a lot of French and Spanish speaking friends.”
“You should teach me,” Aomine said before thinking. “Uh, I mean-”
“Sure,” Kagami grinned. “What do you want to know?”
Aomine pursed his lips. “How to say Kagami is scared of puppies-”
Kagami hit him with a pillow while another multilingual string of curses was yelled at him, and Aomine didn’t feel insulted because he didn’t understand any of it.
is this Aomine and Kagami fighting over who is the better light to Kuroko’s shadow? I’m so down for this
Aomine: Okay, so Kise, Kagami, and Ghosty-thingy on one side and-
Kise: Ghosty-thingy?
Aomine: Uhh, Tetsu, I meant Tetsu…
Kagami: You forgot his name, didn’t you?
Kuroko: This takes being forgotten about to a whole new level…

Ah of course! Ask any and all questions about the PP AU that you like! I hope you don’t mind if I answer this publicly as I’m curious to see if anyone else has some ideas or headcanons about this o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o
Personally speaking, I don’t really have anything specific in mind but i guess the TLDR version would be something like this:
he’s an up-and-coming inspector full of passion!
lots of potential!
oh noes, shit happens
frustration ensues
more shit happens, he grows cynical
starts giving zero fucks …
all out of fucks to give
Mostly I try to draw parallels from the Teikou arc where his puremine days = his time as an inspector (and then into a still brilliant but lazy jerkass enforcer). A rookie inspector Kuroko is assigned as his partner, and they are a super effective combi! Sometime later they go through a series of unsavory cases and gets continuously dealt shit by the scum of the earth. I like to think that while Aomine isn't oblivious to human vices, the general low of latent criminals dampens his perspective on things.
Overall, I think it might be a combination of cases suspiciously handled or closed by Sybil System and the lack of any proper resolution or justice that sends his psycho-pass over to the point of no return.
